To say I am impressed with this product is quite an understatement.
The product has virtually no scent, and the very mild smell is extremely pleasant. I love the packaging which makes you feel like you are using a very exotic product and the jar comes with its own applicator so that you have no need to put your fingers in the jar.
The texture is unlike anything I have seen or used before. It is like aerated whipped cream or mousse. When it is applied to the skin, it initially seems quite thick but then after smoothing it around the eyes, it simply disappears into the skin. It is quite incredible just how well it absorbs and so quickly. The immediate effect is very refreshing and moisturising and it seems to make your eyes feel suddenly awake. It is very hard to describe and I can't quite understand how a product is able to do this. The most amazing part for me is that after about 20 minutes, there is no hint that anything has been applied to the skin, the skin feels incredibly soft but at the same time, the eye area is firmed. You can actually feel the firmness of the skin under the eye if you touch it with your fingers.
I will definitely reorder this product and based on the experience I have had with this eye cream, I will have no hesitation in including its partner L Elixir Des Glaciers in a future EDS order.
My Rating 10/5 |

I've heard a million good things about L'Elixir by Valmont, although it's not for younguns like me I bought the eye cream for my mom when there was a bonus small size of face cream as a GWP. Unfortunately she got a reaction from it since she has SUPER sensitive skin |

Wow I'm so excited to read your review, Bushy! Though I know I'm NOT going to buy this at this age, I'll keep it in record and I'll know what to look for when I get maturer. |

I may have to try this one after I'm finished my Valmont eye and mouth cream (which I also ). I'm such a sucker for their stuff1 , and this sounds like another winner. I've also been eyeing the Elixir for ages now, but can't seem to quite bite the bullet on the $$$$$$! Love their products though, and have not been disappointed yet! |

I got a sample of the elixir des glaciers, i thought it was so nice on my skin. If it was a lot cheaper i would definitely buy the full size, but i am not sure if it is okey being that i am only 28? anyway even if its okey, i still cannot afford 390 just for one cream. Plus the eye cream version sounds so tempting. |

bushy - You've done it again! Another item added to my wishlist.
Please could you let me know, though, whether you think it would be hydrating for someone who needs plenty of moisturisation in the eye area? |

Yes, it is definitely very hydrating and the amazing thing is that you can actually put as much on as you want and no puffiness or overloaded feeling. |

I got a sample of this. I wanted not to like it when I saw the price...however it's the best eye cream I've tried..& I've tried plenty. It addresses all my eye concerns-lines, firmness etc. & results can be seen right away..but the price..yikes... |

My girl friend is a Valmont die-hard fans and has tried everything in Valmont. She told me that she loves this eye cream very much...I doubted her words until I read the review by bushy. Well...I really can't imagine if I have a chance to try this... |

Oh dear... I resisted clicking on this review yesterday but couldn't hold out anymore today. I am really glad though that you found something that works so well on your eye area Bushy!
You know, I had some samples of the face cream equivalent of this and I think I might have held on to them for a little bit too long The face cream is not fluffy/whipped at all. Does anyone know if it should be?
The eye cream sounds divine but I'm scared to even ask for a sample of this just in case I like it. I think it's beyond my budget at the moment.... |

I don't like the prices either, but the products are just so divine on your skin. |

WHAT?! You, um, oh, lord (see, I am so flabbergasted)... how could you resist using samples of THAT cream immediately upon receipt?! The only member here who I know has used this is Barbara Portno, so maybe you could put out a post to her. I do know that it has a very short use-by though and they only make it in small quantities.
Bushy: do you use this in conjunction with the Jurvedical serum or Remergent microcirculation? Hmm.. but you also have the Cellcosmet ones too, right? How many eyes do you have? (I need a couple extra to use all my creams.. oh wait, I do: that is what I use DH for!) |

Mabsy...is that the Votre Visage you're referring to? If so, I just received a sample from EDS & it's not fluffy/whipped at all. It's definitely a cream texture. HTH. |

While I have the L Elixir Eye Cream, I am only using that over a small amount of Remergent Microcirculation. All the other eye products are now in the back of the drawer. |

Um... mine just says "L'ELIXIR DES GLACIERS". I'm not sure if that is the same one or not.
Tiger_tim - I know, I am so disappointed in myself.... But I think it's just so $$$ that I kept waiting for the right moment to use it and that moment somehow never came. I'll use it up this week |

I have been reading bushy's raves about this in other threads and did not want to read this review as the eye cream sounded awesome. Well on Friday I got a sample of this with my EDS order and was disappointed. I have not even tried it yet but the ingredient list is not something that inspires me. For those of you who don't know, I am NOT opposed to chemicals in products but the eye cream seems to have alot of them. Starting with ingredient #3 C12-20 ACID PEG-8 ESTER, OCTYLDODECAOL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, POLYACRYLAMIDE......5 different parabens. That being said bushy's review does make me want to try this product despite the chemical cocktail! I will be trying the sample in a few days just to see if it is a great product or not but I really don't want to be putting all that stuff on my face everyday. Honestly, I really like the Cellcosmet Eye Cream and could not picture buying this at $190 for 15ml. I will report back after trying it! |

Theresa, which one is $190 for 15ml. The Valmont one is more like $325. for 15 ml....just to make sure we're all going broke over the same one |
