I just received CareKate's Natural Insect Repellent Essential Oil Blend today along with many other items (though i just realised I forgot to make sure my request of Lash Gloss went through )
Anyways back to topic on hand, the Insect Repellent. This came packaged in a plastic bottle with a spray head. It is about 10cm tall excluding the spraying mechanism.
Her instructions require only a light mist of the product, on clothes and skin, which i was more than happy to oblige because insects really like me .
The feel of the product was great in the sense that once you spray it on, it dries quickly and you can't even feel it. My skin just feels smooth.
Perhaps the only downside for me is the smell. It smells quite spicy (?) and I am not a huge fan of that. If however you don't mind that smell, then definitely try her formula out! Nonsticky! How cool is that?
Question for CareKate: Is there something I can add to this mixture to make it smell nicer without diluting its effect? Also on your DIY instructions you recommend an opaque or blue bottle. Should I transfer the mixture to such a bottle? |

The bottle I used is sort of opaque (i.e.: it’s not completely clear/see-through) so the direct sunlight isn’t able to penetrate it and “degrade” the efficacy of the essential oils.
As for the spicy scent, I’ll see what I can do.... |
