I'm not really sure which oils would achieve soft bouncy hair. My book lists different essential oils for different hair types.
For dry hair it recommends
lavender, rosemary, geranium, birch, carrot, parsley, yarrow and sandalwood.
Base oils for dry hair are
sesame, jojoba, evening primrose, borage, peach kernal, almond, cocoa butter, sunflower and avocado

Thank you! This is very helpful. I ordered Rosemary and Lavender EO on Friday from nandaoils.com along with Helichrysum EO (this one for my stretch marks). I can't wait to try it. Is there any oil that will make hair softer and more bouncy other than rosemary?/quote] |

Thank you! I do have Jojoba and EPO for base, and I just ordered rosemary and lavender. So I can't wait to start using the mixture! |

did you notice that your hair is somehow darker? sort of shiny dark? |
I didn't notice that, but I hope not. I like my hair a little less dark since I used to have pitch-black hair. But now after so much sun, it has got some mahogany color in it when the sun shines on it. I can't wait till my next wash with the TJs shampoo/conditioner where I will go through the whole routine similar to the first time I washed with that shampoo, and then I will add Weleda Oil to the mix at the end. |
I love pitch black hair. I have brown black hair.. I would love to dye it pitch black, but I'm scared of damaging my hair! |

That's great Remember to apply the mixture to dry hair and to leave it on for as long as possible before washing out. I know it's not on the list for dry hair but I had good results using coconut oil. It's also easier to use than other oils as it's solid and doesn't run. Look out for the unrefined one as it smells gorgeous of coconut. The refined one has no smell at all.

I have extra virgin coconut oil, and I have put it in my hair before. I warm it up inside a little cup in hot water first and use the liquified oil in my hair. Do you just rub the solid oil on your hair? I find that the oil will harden after you leave it on a while. I left it on overnight before, and wash it off the next morning. I love the smell of coconut, but when I'm in a hurry, I try to do something faster and can't do the coconut oil treatment.
Last night I added the rosemary and lavender oil plus ACV to half a bottle of my TJ's Nourish Spa shampoo, and added rosemary, lavender, and jojoba oil to the conditioner (also Nourish Spa). After the hair started to dry, it got a bit puffy on top, so I added a very small amount of Weleda Rosemary Oil to my hair. It helps to weigh it down, but it also left my hair too greasy looking. But my hair does feel very soft, and the ends start to curl a bit, not hanging lifeless and stick-straight like before as a result of the Japanese straight perm. I'm happy, but would be more happy if my hair can look less greasy! I guess I am doing the coconut oil marination this weekend! |

Hi, wanted to put my two cents in on the Waleda Rosemary oil: I have dry hair which does get oily after 2 days of no shampooing. I put Rosemary oil or Coconut oil before shampooing with Aubrey Organics Rosa Musquita shampoo and my hair comes out very shiny and nice. I love all of these products for my hair. |

I had to weigh in on this product. I bought this oil to take down to Fla with me to use as a leave in when I'm at the pool etc. I have used oils before and recently started using Ojon and nothing stacks up to Weleda Rosemary Oil. It left my hair feeling shiny and healthy after the 1st day. Now I use it as a treatment 2x a week...put it on...massage in and then sleep in it. Smells better than Ojon...less expensive and WAY better results.
Great find! |

Do you apply it when your hair is wet, or you wait until your hair gets dry? |

I put it on my dry hair at night and sleep in it. I have added it to damp hair (just a few drops) and it works great as a "anti friz" shine serum. Its a great buy...and so much cheaper than ojon. |

Olivia, I've done the same thing (apply at night) at various points this winter and have been so pleased with results. I go from looking at my poor, dry hair in the evening and thinking UGH! to waking up with smooth, frizz-free curls. It's one of the simplest beauty routines that I do and yet it's so rewarding! |

I agree. When I have plans in the evening I slap some on and hit it with a blow dryer then shampoo and cond as usual and my hair just looks awesome. Its make styling so easy when your hair cooperates. |
