Well after taking the plunge and buying the mask (s) (they sat in my closet for almost a week because I had just enjoyed a facial) I decided yesterday, after shoving 9" of snow, I need a lift. I took a warm bath, lathered up with a wonderful body lotion and then applied a mask. It was a little intimidating, mostly because of the cost. I didn't want to screw it up! The directions called for spritzing the face with the glacial spring water first. The mask comes enclosed in an elongated paper wrap. After taking it out of the paper, the mask was wrapped up like a.... jellyroll (gee I was lost for words...P) in heavy plastic with holes, like Swiss cheese. It was saturated in some fluid. Saturated. I unrolled the mask, very carefully as the directions suggested, placing the eye cut outs first, smoothing out the forehead, then around my ears. The mask is cut in half from the nose down. I adjusted the mask to fit around my nose, under my jaw a bit (don't want to miss out and look like a Saint Bernard later in life) and then crossed the mask over-my mouth. Now my face was fully covered. I didn't realize it was going to be so cold, I was lying on our bed and having just taken a bath I was a bit cool. I couldn't yell to one of my kids to get me an extra blanket because then I would have been a joke for the rest of the day with my family. So I lay there for an hour hoping for a wonderful result. 50 minutes into the process, I was almost done, my 17 yo son comes in without knocking. Yes, he was full of questions and then called the rest of the house up "to look at what mom is doing". (Our 13 yo asked to use a mask on Halloween). After kicking them out, I decided to get up and take the mask off. It doesn't stick to the face, I am sure it is because it is so moist with the.... collegan? My face was perfect. No lines. It was so smooth. It leaves a very, very faint texture behind, but nothing that bothered me. The next instruction called for a small vial of collagen. It isn't much and I wish they would come up with some way to apply it besides using my fingers. It was running down my neck, in my ears. Yuck. I couldn't use a cotton ball or comparable because it would absorb the small amount I had to use. Now my mask was complete. Smile

The masks are expensive. They come out to be the same price as a facial. As we all know, with a facial comes the neck massage, arm and hand massage, you are warm…pleasant music is being played. One of the benefits of having the mask is if you don’t have time or something comes up last minute and you want to really look fresh than having the mask works to your advantage. WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MASK MADE MY FACE SMOOTH, FRESH, AND STRESSLESS, just like a spa facial.

I would like to take this opportunity and wish everyone a really wonderful holiday and a very, very healthy, happy and prosperous 2004. God bless.

Very Happy babs

WSurprisedW !! This review was awesome Barbara-- it was such an entertaining read!!! Very HappyVery Happy The mask sounds like a super-intense treatment and I'm sure your skin is doing sommersaults!!

I just wanted to know with the skin care regime you have, do you have less facials or do you make regular visits as a relaxing treat? I'm asking as I use to go only when my skin needed a little extra TLC especially if I'm really tired-- the fatigue shows through my skin as well. I haven't been for a facial for a while since finding my "Holy Grail" products from Phytomer. Very Happy.... but this review might make it even less likely for me to visit one anytime soon! I have had a collagen facial as well as had collagen eye masks put on and loved how alive my skin looked after the treatment!!

I also wanted to wish everyone a really wonderful Christmas and a happy and safe holiday season!!
I've had such a great time since coming on this forum and love our girlie chats, I've also gained so much from all your knowledge-- it's been fun and I know I won't be able to stay away for too long!!

Babs, YOU ARE SO FUNNY, I couldn't stop my giggles...I'm sure your skin will be very happy with all the cares you're giving it and will stay forever young for your great sense of humour and the way you find little hillarious things to share with us, to make us laugh with you. So for my turn, when using this wonderful facial mask, I shall remember to bring with me a heavy weight blanket to a double locked room to fully enjoy it with no interruption, but hey, where's all the fun !

Thank you for a wonderful review, Barbara. Wish you and your family a Happy Holiday and all the best in the New Year. Leila.

Oh Babs! This is the best review I've ever read! It's hilariously entertaining and dangerously tempting Smile

The mask sounds really nice, minus the collagen going into your ears Smile

Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!

Did anybody else use this mask? I'm so attracted by it, but I'm only 28 years old. The only reason driving me into this is to remove the smiling lines starting from my nose.....So frustrated. I shouldn't laugh so much. Sad

This mask is a mini facelift. It's the best one I've tried, smoothes the lines instantly, makes your face smaller and makes you look like a doll.

But I wonder if there is a cheaper alternative. I think it's even cheaper to get a nonsurgical facelift at the spa then use this mask at home!

Does anyone know any other use-at-home masks that can provide such a amazing facelift effect?

By the way, it disappears the next day Very Happy

I used one by Elizabeth Arden, a collagen mask with the liquid contained in a cloth mask, and it was great. I guess it plumps up the skin. My skin looked very refreshed and radiant.

I got this as a gift from my sister, and I agree with everything the reviewer and you said. I was so impressed I looked in to how much I'd have to pay, and OUCH!! I didn't know my sister loved me that much. Smile

I am just wondering does the effect of this product last for a long time?
