Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm a little worried to pluck, as I don't want them to come back thick like whiskers or like my eyebrow hairs. There's definitely a "patch" on each side and I thought there was a little darkening just from the darker thicker hairs, however, now that I'm taking a closer look I think my skin is actually discolored a little.
Well I've switched to Lilash now and am being extra careful not to let anything get below my lashes so I'll see if it clears up.
I'm waiting for my Enormous Lash to come in the mail too! I'll probably use one brand in the morning and the other brand at night. |

One more thing, have any of you tried MD Lash Factor or heard anything about it? Good or bad? |

Just recently I noticed all these dark hairs sprouting under my eyes and upper cheeks. The hair is really dark and long. And my skin is darker underneath the hair as well. I've bleached the hairs for now until I decide what to do with them...too many to pluck! I want to wax it but I will have full on stubble when the hairs grow back. I'm going to not apply the growth serum to the bottom lashes for now. Hopefully that will resolve the problem. Anyways, I never connected the fact it could be my eyelash growth serum until your posted. Thanks for clearing up my cheek hair mystery. |

Lily, I thought the instructions for most say to apply sparingly once daily on the top lash line only. At least mine does. I wonder if twice a day might not be overkill?
jf, how much are you applying and are you putting it on directly before bed? It doesn't seem to travel as much (or even at all) if I put it on at least an hour before I go to bed. |

Yeah, it does say once a day so maybe it is overkill. My instructions say to do top and bottom lash lines though. I've since quit putting it on the bottom. I've also switched from RL to LL so I'll see if that helps.
JF - My cheeks sound exactly like yours. Too much to wax; I don't want patches of whiskers coming back. At least the hair is soft but it's a little darker and there's much more hair than there was beofre. The hair itself isn't necessarily thicker, just more of it. |

hi all - Kiwilily here, I'm a newbie on the site and am LOVING it so far! What a great community, where experimentations, successes and failures are shared - cool idea! I'm just starting out with lash serums, have just ordered the Ardell from beautydotcom (3.99 - what a deal!) and can't wait to try it out.
Thanks for all the sharing!

havana- i do apply just before bed...also have a tendency to use too much product (i'll dip the brush back in for each lower lash)...i'll try applying it earlier in the evening and monitor the amount i apply. thanks for the suggestion |

I had the same problem with the original formula RL. So far LiLash has given me excellent results, but when my tube is used up I might try Marini Lash. |

::UPDATE::
6 drops of Lumigan mixed into 1/2 a tube of Ardell. Applied to lashline at night. Started on July 20th. (I added 2 more drops about a week ago)
- bottom lashes look longer
- top lashes look the same length to me on the left eye, but something is happening on the right, with increased length noted.
- lashes are much darker, except for those few 'white' ones. (They are so black, that I'm not anxiously waiting for my lash dye anymore!)
- each lash looks *thicker* and well defined
- I'm seeing what looks like a new line of lashes, when I look under the upper lid.
- no change to eye color
I still can't figure out how to take a closeup picture to share here, but I'm working on it. |

Kassy A,
When you mix Lumigan with Ardell, do you then use the lash brush that comes with Ardell, or do you use an eyeliner type brush like JM and Revitalash have? |

I just use a regular eyeliner brush, and just put as thin a line as possible, at each lash line.
ETA: I take the stopper part out of the Ardell tube (just stick a small scissor in the tube, and pull it out). That allows the thin eyeliner brush to go right in. |

Just wondering if anyone has been able to maintain their long length for more than 6 months, thats the problem its easy to make them grow long but keeping them long is the real problem. |

its my understanding that you have to keep applying the serum...forever... |

Yes I understand that, however it seems that even if you keep appyling it,the effectiveness wears off and stops working after awhile, that happened to me with the originalformula of JM.Has anyone been able to keep long length permanently like over 1 or 2 years? |

So I'm on my third week of Lumigan. I've been applying it straight with a brush. I notice the bottom lashes getting longer last week. I never use mascara cause it does nothing for me cause eyelashes too short. But today I tried mascara and curling my eyelashes and woo hoo, they are touching my eyelid area. They look fake which is a good thing. This is only 3 weeks so I don't think the growth is long enough for me to notice without Mascara. I also apply leftover to eyebrows and I think they are looking a bit darker too, my eyebrows have been looking good lately, lol. Well, so excited and wanted to share. |

I've also ordered the Lumigan but have not received it yet. Would love it if all the Lumigan girls would keep us posted on your progress.
On page 8 (I think) JoeyVoice mentioned something about a study/report where there were no significant results with Lumigan or Travatan used alone, however, used in conjuction there were results. Has anyone ever looked into this? I think I'll do a little research...
Maybe using the two together will give the results that Lumigan isn't obtaining when used alone? I noticed Travatan had more "possible side effects" though and they're a little scarier than the Lumigan "possible side effects". I looked at both of them on the InHousePharmacy dot co dot uk link. Although I ordered from the "All Day Chemist" webiste. |

Lily- I actually ordered my Lumigan from the Doctor's office and according to her, 100% of her patients grow eyelashes. I use just the lumigan and I am seeing more lashes.
So for those of you who received the product from AllDayChemist, is the product from AlldayChemist the brand Lumigan or is it a generic? What is the shipping? How long does it take. Thanks

I think All Day Chemist sells the generic called Bimatoprost. It's $12.76 for 3ml and $25 for shipping; bring it to $33.76 total.
Try putting in the website by writing the name of it and then put the acutal word "dot" then com (with spaces). You can't actually put a "." because it will pick up that you are trying to post a website. |

Thanks for the website, very interesting! So it says:
Both Lumigan & Travatan
average growth by 3 weeks; 3.5mm
average growth by 6 weeks; 8.5mm
average growth by 9 weeks; 11.5mm
Lumigan Only
average growth by 3 weeks; 2mm
average growth by 6 weeks; 6mm
average growth by 9 weeks; 10mm
Travatan Only
average growth by 3 weeks; 2.5mm
average grwoth by 6 weeks; 7mm
average growth by 9 weeks; 10.5mm
All 3 studies showed thickening and darkening of the eyelashes. The lashes were measured at the beginning of the studies for a baseline and the numbers above are the additional growth above the baseline.
That tells me Travatan alone is better than Lumigan...better yet the both together get you the most growth. |

no, they sell the name brand "Lumigan". i received it as such and so did someone else here in this thread ..can't remember who though.
the studies i saw about the three glaucoma meds, lumigan, travatan, and xalatan all produced a side effect of longer, fuller lashes. |

VERY interesting!
FYI, alldaychemist sells both of them:
- Travoprost (Similar in composition to Travatan) 2.5 ml $25
- Bimatoprost (Similar in composition to Lumigan) 3 ml $12.76
I may have to pick up some of the Travopost and juice up my Revitalash a little. Or maybe I'll alternate them. |
