| I've just been using toner in the am with a cotten pad which you can see exactly what your wiping off. It's so dirty. I'm amazed my face can get that dirty overnight!!! I wash my pillowcase every few days. But I guess the furnace is blowing around dirt. |

maybe buy a bunch of pillowcases so you can switch them off and have a clean one for every night without washing one case every single day....
Also, maybe some kinda air purifier might help...Ones for allergy prone people are useful for cleaning particles out of the air.
I don't think you're doing anything too bad for your skin as long as you clean it off every morning though...dirt will always find it's way to your skin...as long as you don't leave it on for too long to mix with sebum and dead skin and bacteria I don't think it should cause too many problems.

What toner are you using? My face is quite oily in the am. I use a miracellar cleaner. (Vichy water)
Some toners if they contain alochol are actually stripping. It appears like dirt but its not really. |

| I was using Caudalie cleansing water but it has a pretty high pH so now I'm using Derm e papaya and soy toner. I'm pretty sure no alcohol in it. The cotton pad was very dirty with the cleansing water too. |

Do you use a toner at night also? I'm just curious if your night cleanser is doing a good job.
Fan's and heaters can sure blow dust around. Is there one close to you bed?
I have extra pillow cases and change them 2-3 week. |

| Glad to see it's not just me. My room has poor circulation at times and I think I end up sweating in my sleep. Could this cause dirty AM skin too? Maybe I need to use more cleaners after using oil to remove my makeup. |

I woke up last night to my face on my hand. That could be a huge culprit to a dirty face  And my little one was touching my face this morning b/c he was waking up before me. I also tried a few different cleansers at night and different ones and noticed if I had a dirty cotton the next morning. It looks like a few different contributors. THanks for all the suggestions. |
