Hi Carrie,

I have a question about one of the ingredients in your homemade Vit C Serum. I decided to use glycerin instead of propylene glycol because I have extremely dry skin so I went last night to Whole Foods to buy the glycerin. The only thing they had was vegetable glycerin….is this ok for me to use? Do you know if this will clog my pores? Is this what you used when you first make the homemade Vit C Serum?

Thanks so much! I really love your posts and all your help!!

Shelley

Yes, vegetable glycerin is fine. I don’t know if you are on a budget, but you might be able to get glycerin for much less $$$ if you buy it at your local pharmacy or supermarket (it will either be in the first aid aisle with the bandaids and bandages, or in the laxative aisle with the Ex-lax and mineral oil). I know Whole Foods likes to seriously overcharge for their products, but I guess while you’re there you could always pick up a bottle of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar so you can make yourself some of the now world famous Wink ACV Super Toner!! Very Happy

Thanks!

I already made the world famous ACV toner and I love it. Only problem was I put too much peppermint oil in so the smell is a bit too strong. But I love it and even put it on my legs after shaving to get the red out of my skin.
