It is very chalky. Yes, the zinc offers protection. You could also wear a face of diaper rash cream and have protection from the zinc oxide.
I would rather wear a cosmetically elegant zinc oxide sunscreen.
I like Paula's Choice, but there is other good choices available. |

| You commented on my other post about that paula's choice on with zinc oxide and i couldnt find it. Im wondering if its only available in the US? |

| ahhh that is the one that contains nano particles which apparently isnt very good being absorbed by the skin. |

May I know from what source you know that the zinc oxide is of nano particle? |

Thanks khaleesi, in the U.S. website, it doesn't mention if it is nano. |

| I'll use zinc oxide cream (for babies/diaper rash) on my face and neck sometimes when I'm lake swimming. It's pretty awful though- thick and gooey and it will stain your cloths. It's really good protection with 40 percent zinc and it's waterproof. Other than that I use a good euro sunscreen- zinc just doesn't provide enough UVA protection for me in normal spf concentrations. |
