Too early to report results (though I think there are signs...!), but just to share that the Cefaly pad feels very different (oocha - Colettes77 I salute you!) and ask whether anyone has spoken with the manufacturers about it's use with safetox? |

I am waiting for my cefaly parches to arrive which i ordered on friday. Do they feel different to treatment with the normal patches meaning less intense treatment?
I asked the seller of safetox in my country from whom i bought my safetox and he says not to use the Cefaly patch , but i think he just knows what the instructions say, becuase he sayd as well not to use tac gel ( i am using tensive as i could not find tac in my country). The patches work much better with the tensive gel but he sayd to get new patches and not use the gel.
I am going to do daily treatment with both the safetox patches and the cefaly ones. |

Quite the opposite Pablita! Had I not read Colettes77 post about using them I'd have been too scared to persevere. I found it more intense, though as with the safetox patches I am growing accustomed to it now.
It is particularly noticeable (bordering on painful) along the browbone, an area where I had no sensation previously, even when doing the 3 point protocol. A prickling sensation also extends into my hairline almost as far as the crown of my head.
I have reserved early judgement because of a heavy cold which makes me look like the undead anyway. However, thanks to night nurse I had a good sleep and I think I can safely say that my forehead and glabellar area do appear more open and relaxed, and my dread fear of further brow droop is allayed.
Though I can still knit or lift my brows if I want I am doing so less, and I have stopped raising my eyebrows in the way they illustrate in the product info, to create the 'pseudo open-face'. I did this a lot to compensate for low brows to the extent I could end up with a headache.
So far, so good.... |

That is great Gruffalo
Please keep up posted with further progress and i will post mine as well with the cefaly patches.
I posted this on the Lounge forum but think will ask here in the thread too.
Is there any safetox user that use homeopathy? And if so, do you think using safetox antidote the remedy effectiveness?
I am asking this because i have read using electric blankets could antidote de remedy and not sure if safetox does it too, i hope not. |

Hi ladies,
I just bought safetox and have been using it for about a week and a half twice a day on settings 2&3. It's more of a preventative measure as I've got faint lines at the moment. The spot I'm worried about is not quite the 11s but the eyebrow muscles around the 11s (they're becoming more prominent and developing wrinkles). Initially I just used the one point electrode that came with the pack but then I saw the cefaly larger electrode mentioned and gave that a go for the past 3 days. I'm not sure yet but I think it's making my eyebrow muscles more prominent. Perhaps it's working the eyebrow muscles too hard? Has anyone else noticed anything like this? I might just go back to using the one point electrode that came with the pack. |

Hi all!
I have been reading this thread for a while and trying to purchase a safetox. I'm in the U.S. and have not been able to purchase from any of the sites I have tried. They all have said that there is now a supplier in the U.S. --so they can't send it to me from the UK....? Do any of you that have recently purchased live in the states? If so, how did you purchase your safetox?
Also--fluffyamazon--have you liked the results so far?
Thanks!

Thoughts and ideas gratefully received...
I can wiggle my ears vigorously and in principle this could result in uplift, however if it doesn't then I don't want to risk causing any further brow droop by weakening my frontalis - which is already losing the tug of war with the downward pulling muscles.
With this in mind I emailed the company and asked if I could use the device just to influence the procerus and depressor muscles, and avoid the frontalis and I had a brief reply from 'Roger', advising to try positioning it higher... This surprised me as I'd have thought that would move it more onto frontalis, and further from the target muscles... If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on this I'd be grateful. |

Following clarification of what I was trying to achieve Roger has suggested I cut the pad just above the 'contact strips' (my description) so I avoid influencing my frontalis. Will give this a go and report back... |

I adore safetox. It's helping reverse progress of my forehead lines, my first wrinkles. I use it nearly daily and can do it while brushing teeth, meditating, etc so it's not really 'in the way'. Sometimes I do 2 cycles in one sitting. I also try and put a patch on my forehead to stop the contraction in my sleep but I forget about it half the time. Bought mine off eBay. |

Well, I've always wanted one of these and have finally caved in, years after the hullabaloo - managed to bag a second-hand one from ebay, awaiting its arrival!
I can see the old Photobucket links of the "3 Point" diagram, on this thread, have disappeared over the years. I've uploaded it to imgur, assuming Google has directed me to the right jpeg (please correct me if I'm wrong!):
So, I see that some are recommending the Cefaly electrodes as an easier way to do the 3 Point Safetox technique, any more feedback on this? Is it effective? Is the current just as strong?
Cefaly 1 looks like this:
Cefaly 2 looks like this:
I'm guessing, with Safetox, it's best to use the Cefaly 1 electrodes (as it has the one placement/attachment, rather than two).
Excited....hopeful....! Though I wonder why the ebay seller is giving theirs up - I would have asked, but doubt I'd get an honest reply
Whilst hunting Google Images, I found a patent for the Cefaly 1 - someone may be interested in having a look! https://www.google.com/patents/US8428734
Wonder if there will ever be a "Safetox 2"?
Edit: I've just realised I started the thread nearly 10 years ago - had completely forgotten all about that! How about that for patience! |

Hi Ljk,
I've just been reading through the old safetox thread. Just caved and bought one off ebay myself! My main concern are nasolabial folds, so I'm hoping this will help with those. I've heard good things from earlier in this thread regarding the reduction of those lines so fingers crossed!
Thank you so much for uploading the 3 point diagram picture! I was looking for that but couldn't find it anywhere.
Good luck to the both of us! |

Actually Cefaly electrodes (Cefaly 1, not 2) being used with the Safetox are discussed back on Page 40, hadn't got that far when I originally posted this!! so I'll answer my own question:
liza-lurkin wrote: |
I'm not sure how to post photos as I don't have a photo-hosting website to link to.
However, having owned both Safetox and Cefaly, I can tell you that the headbands are identical except for the colour. The bit where it hooks onto the button of the electrode is exactly the same on both and the buttons on the electrodes are exactly the same.
The only difference between the electrode patches is the size and shape (as I said, buttons are identical). the Cefaly is much wider - imagine the Safetox patch with wings! Oh, and cost - you get 3 Cefaly patches for the same price as 12 Safetox patches.
The Cefaly patch measure 3cm high by 9.5cm wide, with the button in the middle and a silver strip either side (just like the Safetox). |

Cefaly electrodes do work with safetox. Just used one to try it.
The sensation I get is a little bit more disperse... not as intense as with the little electrode that comes with Safetox. It does reach further over the eyebrows but it does not go as low in your nose bridge as does the safetox electrode.
My final conclusion is that for regular users of the safetox this could help when using the three point electrostimulation while does not substitute the single point between eyebrows.
Besides you have to note that anatomically every face is different and my first impression might not be the same for others.
Hope this helps if someone else is considering cefaly electrodes as an alternative to safetox ones.

I've tried one more time cefaly pads with safetox.
This time I got a more intense sensation...
I have no idea why, but really my forehead was aching!(at level 3) This didn't happened the first time I use it... I wonder why as the electrode is new and safetox batteries haven't been replaced yet. I want to move it a little bit upward to see if I can get the tingles beyond my forehead on my scalp.
I will keep trying and posting any news re cefaly pads & SFX |
Zenity wrote: |
Nope.
Position didn't change, nor anything else I can think about except timing of the day. The first time I used it in the morning and the second time at night.
I really have no idea why my sensation was so different.
As I am planning to keep experimenting a bit with this I will probably find out more.
I will let you know.

While I didn't use the safetox per se as I didn't find it as helpful as exercising auric. and occip.
muscles by myself I am loving it with the cefaly patch!
It feels soooooooo relaxing even though it is at the highest setting and it is a strong bite
I use 2 cycles with the cefaly and 1 with the regular safetox patch and this way I do feel is "doing something" using the single patch did not give me the same sensation.
Thanks for bringing up the subject as this is something I am loving right now. Too bad my forehead is like an stadium and cefaly is not XXL LOL! |
Edit: About the Cefaly and migraines: (must be about the Cefaly 1, as the article is from March 2015, afaik the 2 came out circa July 2016) a headache specialist recommends buying a TENS machine instead! http://www.thedailyheadache.com/2015/03/regular-tens-unit-instead-cefaly.html
Differences between Cefaly 1 and 2 (from the Cefaly US website):
Cefaly 2
Compact, fits easily in pocket or purse
Device is magnetically connected to the electrode
Patient may ramp up intensity and/or pause a session as many times as desired until maximum intensity is reached
Powered by a rechargeable battery
Cefaly 1
Bulky, unable to fit in pocket
Headband is mechanically connected to the pin of the electrode
Patient may pause a session once
Powered by two AAA batteries of 1.5 V
This article https://spinoff.com/cefaly introducing the Cefaly 2 says, "Since the Cefaly introduction 150.000 devices were sold worldwide."
I'm guessing as the launch of the 2nd migraine device was over a year ago, there will be no Safetox 2?
Did anyone have success with certain brands/voltage outputs of rechargeable batteries? I read that MaxDamian (around Page 33) recommended Lithium batteries, but there weren't conclusive findings, as far as I can see. |

This article https://www.lightandmatter.org/2014/tech-photography-articles/best-rechargeable-aa-nimh-batteries-for-your-flash-dont-buy-eneloops/ (from 3 years ago, mind) suggests that AmazonBasics rechargeables are rebranded Eneloops.
Quote: |
Amazon.com sells AmazonBasics branded AA Pre-Charged NiMH batteries (originally with a black jacket, then white, now black or white). These are made in Japan rather than China and they seem to be rebranded standard Eneloops, and they cost less. They may be previous generation Eneloops, rating at only 1800 charges rather than 2100, but you’re still more likely to lose them or have them stolen before they die. You’ll pay an extra $1 for 8 AmazonBasics than for 4 standard Eneloops.
AmazonBasics are also available as AA Pre-Charged High Capacity NiMH batteries, with a black jacket and 2400 mAh capacity. These ones seem to be rebranded Eneloop Pro (XX) batteries, and again, they cost quite a bit less… about 50% less for a pack of eight (sometimes)! I have a dozen of these and love them. |
The article is discussing using camera flashes with rechargeables, and the Voltage question.
Quote: |
Fact: using rechargeable NiMH batteries in your flash will give you dramatically better performance than shooting with alkaline batteries. This might seem counter-intuitive at first, since rechargeables are labeled with slightly lower voltage values than alkalines (1.2v rather than 1.5v), but voltage isn’t everything 1. NiMH batteries have much lower internal resistance, and can dump current into a flash significantly faster than alkalines. |
Eneloop comes in Pro (highest capacity-lowest number of charge cycles), Standard and Lite (lowest capacity-highest number of charge cycles) - at least, you still get the Lite version in the UK, think they're no longer sold in the US. http://main.panasonic-eneloop.eu/products/batteries.html |

Anyone still riding the Safetox bandwagon?
Very late to the party, but after many many years I finally went from "no microcurrent device has worked for me, this won't be any different" to "the results from this seem to be so good that I just have to try" (after reading this thread, yes, all 60+ pages of it!. Amazon with its generous return policy definitely helped to make decision too.
It was a love from the first drill in the forehead!
I'm 35 and since I was 30 I've had a constant frown in the corrugator area. My dad has a very very strong frown and I know I inherited this from him. In the last 3 years I've learned how to control my forehead, I wear frownies or their equivalents on regular basis, I massage the area, I wear SPF and sunglasses religiously and avoid sun. It didn't improve but it didn't get worse too like in the first 2 years after I started to notice it but did nothing.
I've been using Safetox for a couple days now and there's already been an improvement. It's slight and it's temporary but unlike with Frownies I have the feeling that it's actually doing something more than just preventing. My forehead feels slightly frozen. It gives me hope that something has the power to finally relax this area.
How bad it is: s22.postimg.cc/q09h90anh/DSC_0088.jpg - Sorry I can't post direct links yet. I'm not frowning in this picture, I'm slightly smiling and controlling my forehead.
I'll keep you posted.
Any advices appreciated. |

Hi Everyone,
I tried to buy more Safetox electrodes today, and I've discovered that the Safetox has been discontinued. I'm gutted, as I love the results of this! Does anyone have an alternative they can recommend? Do the Cefaly pads still work with Safetox? Does the Cefaly itself have the same lifting results? I'd really appreciate some guidance! Thank you! |

I believe you can order the Cefaly electrodes (that fit the Safetox) from the website. I have also purchased them on ebay. I have used these with my Safetox, and I feel the results are better than the small Safetox electrodes. I also have a Cefaly, and while I really use it just for headaches, it feels the same to me, plus it runs much longer without shutting off. |

Thank you so much for your reply - I really appreciate that! So, just to clarify, if I was to buy the Cefaly 2 if and when my Safetox does stop working, it should give me the same results? That's fantastic news if that's the case! In the meantime, I will try to get some of the Cefaly 1 pads for my Safetox. Thank you! |

I'm not sure that you'll get the same results because I haven't really compared the results of each individual device. I just think they feel the same on my forehead. The Cefaly is nice to wear because it just sticks on without the band resting on your ears. I think Cefaly has a free trial period, so you could always try it out and see how it feels compared to the Safetox. |

Hi. Please can someone tell me how to do this without breaking the safetox?
I found using the central point raised the middle of my brows, completely changing their shape. But I couldn't get contact at the other points in the diagram.
I confess it's been in the cupboard for several years 🤫 |

If you really want to hit the points, you should buy the Cefaly 1 electrodes off the Cefaly site. They're being discontinued March 31 of this year, so I'd stock up. |
