Has anybody used these UV umbrellas before? I saw these online (from UV-Blocker) and want to try out.

Yes, I carry a UV umbrella almost daily. In Asia, these are commonplace. They work great hiking on a hot day and can lower the temperature up to 15 degrees by providing your own shade. I use Coolibar but these break pretty easily and are a bit heavy. You can order UV umbrellas on eBay but make sure they are really UV blockers and not fakes.

I have two and use them quite often. I've bought both of them on Amazon.co.uk, one them serves me also as an ordinary umbrella (the other one is too flimsy for that). However, I must admit that using it sometimes draws attention which is irritating (UV prevention is not very popular in my country, majority of people here still love tanning). I got used to it, but I swear if someone informs me that it's not raining (that was the case with my friend who also carries such an umbrella)I won't be nice Cool .
