I could have sworn there was already a thread for this, but I searched and nothing came up for the first 3 pages of results. 
Oh well. Anyway, I was considering making an emulsified body butter with ultra fine ascorbic acid suspended in it (based off of the oil/emulsifying wax/ascorbic acid recipe that got popular back when anhydrous C was all the rage. Remember?)
Has anyone on the forum tried this? Does anybody have any suggestions or insights about this idea otherwise? I'm going to be applying it directly to my skin after showering, so I'm thinking that the C will be absorbed quicker than applying it to a toned face. |

I can't add much, but it seems like a good idea, what's good for your face is good for the rest of the skin on your body, it's still skin, good luck!
What's the recipe? |

I'm thinking about maybe 20-35% polowax with soybean and/or grapeseed oil. If I recall, the original study didn't specify what type of oil was used. It only said "vegetable oil."
My main concern was weather or not the metal ions in my tap water would negatively affect the ascorbic acid from being absorbed. But now that I'm thinking about it, I realize that nobody hear could probably speak to that aspect of it. LOL. |
