Hello all! This is my first post - (long time "lurker"). Last night I tried Nexcare Gentle Paper tape under my eyes and on some deep wrinkles above my eyebrow. (Frownies are too harsh for me) I have been wrinkle-free in those places all day! Method: I applied my eye cream, waited about 5 mins. then stretched my skin slightly and applied small strip of the tape over the wrinkles. (Enough tape to cover the offensive area). The tape pulled a little too much for my liking in the morning so tonight I'll use a little extra cream. Hope this works as well for you as it did for me! Thanks for all the wonderful tips & information from all of you at EDS.

Hi Havana. I bought a roll of the tape in the band-aid aisle at Walmart - it was cheap!

HI Determined, so you tried one time and already see results? Could you elaborate more what kind of results you see and how long did it last? TIA.

Hello iaimei, the wrinkles under my eyes and above my eyebrow were completely smoothed out and "flattened" by the application of the tape. The effects lasted all day. Don't bother with this procedure if you don't have any wrinkles!

iaimei, I should also mention that the look was not at all unnatural, just wrinkle-free.

That's pretty good. I don't have wrinkles but I wanted to try on my DH, especially for his 11's. He frowns even when he is asleep. I couldn't find any frownies in store, and I am glad you suggested this gentle paper tape instead.

Hello, Mardy. I'm a side sleeper too and that's one of the reasons I like this method so much - it works on the pillow-smooshed lines! I used more eye cream last night but it was still a little difficult to peel off the tape. Tonight I'll try a little emu oil before applying the tape, maybe that will make it less sticky.

Wow,interesting method! Though I have to admit I'm still a little scared to stick something on my face. I bought a pack of Frownies awhile back and have yet to try them.

Hi there,

I'm also in the UK and i've just looked at this tape, and it seems identical to the '3M' micropore tape that they sell in boots. It's used for sort of taping down gauze pads etc, I think this is it,

Hi Jackie & Daydream. The tape in Boots does look very similar. I've been wrinkle-free all day again. If you try it let me know how it works for you.

I am just wondering whether this would do any long term damage ie: stretching the skin around the eye area.

You are so funny Laughing I know what you mean;, I asked my DH last night if I could borrow some masking tape What for? So I stupidly told him (not that he wouldn't have noticed anyway) he gave me some masking tape, plus some spac filler and a paint brush and said this might work better if you fill in the gaps first SMART A-SE Laughing

I had some of the same type of tape left over from another legitimate use (don't recall if it's also Nextcare or 3M). I tried this a while ago, and while it worked to help smooth out the creases temporarily, I scared my kids with it, so I dared not do it while I'm with my bf. I didn't want him to think I looked crazy. lol I was also concerned if it would make my skin more saggy when I had to peel it off. However, I do know that when I sleep, all my facial expressions continue to take place. Somehow I love to frown in my sleep. I heard that models and stars do put a regular scotch tape on their 11 lines.

I'm with ya Schang, I've been scared to try Frownies for a while. I'm only now starting to see the first signs of wrinkles, but I also think guapagirl has a good point...

I alway rate my products not just on how effective they are, but how freaky/icky they are! Never cared much when I was single but now that I sleep next to my guy every night, I'm a bit pickier about stuff that smells funky, looks freaky, or has an awful taste or texture. I don't want him to be put off from my concoctions, once or twice we've started kissing and he'll stop and make an awful face and go WHAT is ON your MOUTH or something, haha. I think having a healthy romantic life is probably as good for my skin as any product, so I try to pick stuff that isn't totally ewwww, at least for daily use - and I can't quite picture putting tape on every single night, and hearing his two cents about it. I think I might prefer the wrinkles!

We'll see if I'm still singing that tune in 20 years, though. Smile

I've been trying all of these for a few hours a few days a week, for a number of weeks. I'm not sure I see a big difference, though possibly a bit of smoothing.

Does anyone have any time-related results information? Like how long it took you, wearing any of these for X hours per day, to completely smooth any wrinkles out?

I'm especially interested in shaping up my under eyes. I've got wrinkles + also bags. I am also doing Facersizes for eyes, but would love any other under-eye advice!

I did the Facersize eye exercises about 8 years ago, religiously for two weeks and completely got rid of my under eye bags; then I did them only spottily. Under eye bad things have been creeping back, and seem to have sped up recently. Sad

I've been doing this for a few weeks - I've seen a big difference in my big one (not an 11, one giant furrow). I've been using Nexcare tape - not the paper tape - mine is stickier.

I've seen less of a difference in the horizontal lines, but I'm hopeful!

Today, I bought gummed paper tape from an Art Supply store. gummed tape is Frownies without the perforations.

I'll report back on success.

edited to add: Jennifer, I wear the tape every night, one short horizontal between eyebrows, one vertical up the centre and two diagonals that go from the end of my eyebrow to the centre. I will also wear them when I'm just around the house all day, not going out. I'm noticing that my furrow is less defined, and takes longer to return.

I've been using the nexcare flexible tape and it works well, but it leaves the marks of the tape on my face, not liking, furlesse is more expensive, but doesn't leave marks

I prefer Furlesse. It is easy to use and sold at EDS. It peels off gently. Really works for "11".
