Does anyone know if it is a good idea to mix hazelnut and hemp together for an OCM cleanse?

I understand based on several sites' info these may be good oils for my male-combo/dry-sensitive skin, but can someone with experience help me understand if this will be a good/bad mix?

The original recipe is castor oil plus something like olive oil, but I don’t see any glaring issues from mixing the two you mention. With ratios you want to experiment. Starting out with a 50:50 ratio is wise and then depending on what you want from the oils you can experiment. With dry-sensitive skin the hemp is a good choice, but hazelnut may not be. You may want to opt for olive oil – as that’s more suited to dry and sensitive skins.

You need a cleansing oil like Castor Oil and then a ratio of moisturizing oil like jojoba. You can also add in some essential oils. Google different recipes and there is also many on here.

Just my two cents...

Castor oil is rather thick and I would not use it to cleanse. I DO like it to condition lashes and brows and I am seeing a bit of growth.

The Hazelnut oil is the main ingredient in clarins Lotus Oil.

Personally I would patch test every oil first and start with one. You can buy a sample pack of oils of three from Garden of Wisdom for around $10.00. The site has the oils in categories based on skin types.

I do make my own DIY cleansing oil and buy the emulsifier from GOW. The emulsifier helps it rinse clean.I do not add essential oils. While they smell nice, I don't see any benefit to my skin. EO increase the chance of irritation.

When you mention OCM, I would not steam especially sensitive skin. I am talking about an oil based cleanser.

A couple of choices from the grocery store are olive, grapeseed (better for oily) and safflower. The safflower is the base in clinique cleansing balm.
