Hi all,

I had bought the tripollar STOP device years ago but barely used it because I was a bit concerned about radiofrequency waves potentially being bad for your health? Does anybody know more about this?

But now I wonder if it could help improve/cure spider veins if it's supposed to renew collagen and spider veins occur when the collagen and elasticity of the vein wall has weakened if I'm correct. I'm not interested in RF ablation to destroy the spider veins because then you're likely going to develop more spider veins down the road because the other veins now need to work harder and nothing has been done to cure them.

I know there's also a technique like RF microneedling which I think is a combo of a dermaroller with radiofrequency waves..

I'd actually email the company directly with this question, and they can probably share an answer with you as to whether its good or bad. They are pretty much a reputable company and from memory they had some research studies they mentioned to others.

My sense is no it will not help. The only ways to get rid of spider veins: RF ablation; injection of either a salt or sugar solution to 'blanch' them, or even electrolysis. I know this from previous experience (all three). Plus I have a Tripollar Pose. I suppose I could play with it on a little section I have but I wonder how much damage I would do to the area itself if I held it long enough to generate 'that' much heat.

High % urea cream can fade spider veins (e.g., Udderly Smooth Extra Care).

Troxerutin gel is also useful for both spider and varicose veins.
