I've had my hair highlighted twice now, and a scalp bleach done my hair is blonde now, very pale yellow, the look I want is more the white/silver look,I've just tried a white toner today and its lightened it a bit more but is still not the tone I want. I've just ordered the wella toner lightest ash blonde but am going to have to wait as I'm in u.k and had to order from the states. I was told by a friend who studied hairdressing that some people are just unable to achieve that tone, any advice to get my hair how I'd like it, the wella toner I've order uses a twenty developer creme will this help to lighten it further. Can I apply another toner over this one when I receive it or do I have to wait for this one to wear off a little. |

It really depends whats in the toner that you are using, and how healthy your scalp and how thick your hair is to start with. You see most toners use further bleach, which can dry out the hair and create a straw like feel.
Different toners consist of different strength bleaches etc and the real trouble is when you have your hair highlighted, it needs a lot of care and maintenance afterwards.
I wouldn't take your friends word as law and its worthwhile consulting with other hairdressers to get their opinions also. |
