Dear forum members,

I'm new here but I did some research on this forum and other sites for a while. I was wondering if I can get tips on this skincare regimen from someone. So I have/had pretty damaged skin but I think this regimen is working for me, but I'm not so sure about a few things:

AM:

- cleanse with Paula's Choice
- exfoliate with BHA 2% and then put 15% AHA gel after the BHA soaks in (both Diana Yvonne)
- daily moisturizer with peptides
- sunscreen

PM:

- cleanse
- vitamin C serum (Timeless)
- wait 15 minutes, then a peptide serum (NuFace)
- wait 30 minutes, then finish with Retin-A (0,05%).

Nothing has ever caused me irritation or redness and I feel like my skin can handle a lot, but I was wondering if it's effective to use peptides after exfoliating. Even after the vitamin C serum (at a low pH it exfoliates, I read). Is it wise to maybe change the order of the products?

Thanks for your input,

JE.

Hi

Im definitely no expert but from what I read on these forums the vit c should be in the am as it has a certain amount of sun protection built in.

Personally I wasn't sure about using AHA/BHAs in the am either or before peptides. so I alternate it nightly with my vitamin A for 4 nights a week (my skin is quite sensitive). Maybe another member can assist with this one

You may use AHA/BHA before Retinol that will INCREASE the retinol's effect. This is proven in a formulation made by IMAGE. By doing this, you can actually scale back from Retinol and use it every other night.

I think
AM: vitamin c, peptides, sunscreen

PM: AHA/ BHA, retinol (alternate night), ceramides or Nia24 Strengthening complex

I'd switch up your use of BHA/AHA to PM with your use of the peptide formula.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

I decided to change things up a little bit.

AM:
- cleanse
- BHA (Paula's Choice, 2%)
- AHA (Alpha Skin Care, 14%)
- Peter Thomas Roth Vitamin C serum
- Drunk Elephant eye cream
- Peter Thomas Roth moisturizer
- Sunscreen

PM:
- cleanse
- Drunk Elephant eye cream
- Retin A 0.1%

Is this an okay routine? I've heard that you don't want to be using so many actives all at once, but my skin never really feels irritated. I'm also very strict about sunscreen.
