Hi, my face skin is very dry and it makes abrasive noises when I touch the face with the hand. Any suggestions what I could do about the problem? It is really unconvienient to feel this tension in the face ...

Be gentle. Use gentle moisturizing cleansers. Gentle scrubs on occasion. When I get really dry I use an oil right after washing my face and let that soak in which usually doesn't take long. Then right before bed I apply a moisturizer for very dry skin. What have you been doing? There might be things in your current routine that are drying your skin. One moisturizer you could look at is Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore.

A couple other moisturizers to look at:
Cellex-C GLA Extra Moist
PCA Collagen Hydrator

I like some of the Caudalie ones, too.

I agree 100% with the Cellex-C, it works wonders for me! Plus, the price is great.

I'd recommend you a cool-mist humidifier, I purchased one from promopure, just in time for winter weather!

I always choose a natural way to combat most of the personal care issues. Keeping harmful chemical products aside and adopting natural herbal skin dryness remedies is the best solution to this problem.
Consistent use of Extra Virgin Olive oil before makeup keeps your keep moisturized for long. Thereby preventing it from winter dryness.

You can use some Moisturisers

I want to suggest one Moisturiser which will really help you..

Aroma Moisturiseris the best moisturisers for you
This is a moisturizer specially designed taking into consideration a common man. It has Aloe Vera juice added into it, which has excellent moisturizing properties. Aloe vera juice easily penetrates into the skin providing all its good properties to the skin. The skin becomes soft and supple after application of this cream.

I'm approaching my 70's now and suffer from dry skin and eczema all the time. One thing that has helped me to no end was reading online about using Olive Oil for my face. I had used it for OCM and that worked a treat, but using it as a moisturiser seemed a little too weird for me initially but one night I was desperate and tried it out. Nowadays I use it without fail in the evening and my skin never feels as dry as it once did and it really is helping the eczema on my hands too!

I suggest you to use the good moisturizer which helps to come over all this kind of problem. I should also recommend you to use the moisture of the best quality which suits to your face. Don't go with any fake ones.

How does that work? I mean I'm guessing if you used fresh milk straight from a cow that would have astringent and toning abilities but I'm not sure shop bought milk would in comparison?
I know they say Cleopatra used to bath in ass's milk for her skin but from what I was aware that was only based on thoughts at that time and that a lot of derms suggest not doing this because the milk can actually cause infections? Just curious as to why you made this suggestion?

Dry and sensitive skin can not use a strong cleansing product, water-soluble foam-free cleanser came into being gentle nature, the most suitable for this kind of skin use. Glycerin can make skin moist, soft, refresh and prevent dry skin. It can reduce cracks and cracks caused by cold winter and help prevent wrinkles. It can clean the skin and acne and make the skin bright and shiny. When the skin loses elasticity, it can make the skin more firm.
In the autumn and winter, choose moisturizing cream with good moisturizing effect. I hope these suggestions will help you.

Use Kiehl's ultra Facial deep moisturizer, it helps in nourishing your skin. Home remedies will also prove very effective in treating dry skin such as apply coconut oil which significantly improves skin hydration.

I sold a lot of these to (usually older clients) when I worked for Lancome. Skeptics would say the ingredients reminiscent of Nivea original cream in a pot, but followers would detest to it. They would literally cry when we ran out of stock.

It is a thick, white cream with repairing quality. Good for cracked skin inc on the lips and dry skin generally.

Give that a go?
