I am older and would like a mascara that is not heavy. I have tried many from cheap to very expensive but I have never found one that did not by the end of the day leave dark marks under my eyes. I used to use clear mascara when I had lush lashes but now after many illnesses they are sparse and light colored.

I hope someone can direct me to a brand to try that
is appropriate for an older person and that does not run.

Thanks

I use L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof mascara. Lancôme makes others you might like but after they discontinued Aquacils, I usually just get the L'Oreal as my main mascara.

Estee Lauder Double Wear is OK. I have used and liked Prescriptives mascaras but only get them now if I am ordering something else. I like their under eye concealer in the compact.

I've used Blinc mascara since it was first launched years ago for the same reason. It's a tubing mascara so it never leaves any black marks under my eyes. It's wonderful. It's the only mascara I will ever use.

Any tubing mascara as they will not interact with the oils under your eyes yet are easily removed with warm water so won't pull at your eye skin. Google tubing mascara to find a brand sold near you. Also, I find they are lighter and don't pull down lashes.

I had an email that LaRoche-Posay will now offer some makeup. Rather limited colors of foundation and looks like it is for combination or oily skin. But they also added mascara - waterproof and regular. I'll be interested to see reviews of this. Overall I am happy with the L'Oreal Voluminous. My lashes aren't as long and thick as they were which is the frustrating part. Since this is a product that you need to replace frequently, I am happy that I found one I liked that isn't super expensive.

Lancome Definicils. It Curls and lengthens without ever being gluggy. And it's tear-proof without being waterproof which is hard to causing excess rubbing and stretching of the delicate eye area.

I really like Covergirl exact eyelights waterproof-but it is hard to find lately.

My next choices I always rebuy is Mavala waterproof-they cost around $19 online.

YSL and Dior and makeup forever have nice waterproof ones too-but no idea of prices for the full size items,as I used to get tons of the smaller mascara sizes for free.

-Urban decay has some new long lasting mascara-the packaging is neat, but hate the product. Tried it twice and my lashes felt sticky.

-Too faced mascara, not really a fan, just don't like em. I keep on giving away my samples.

Sephora and shoppers had some kind of mascara trial set with 6 or 8 mascara and a coupon for a full size one to redeem later.
That seemed like a pretty decent deal.

I have Blinc and Mirensse which are good tubing mascaras but harder on my lashes for me.
I tried to Too Faced, didnt like it.
Using Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Spectacular Volume and Curl Professional Mascara, my new favorite.
Works well in this Texas heat and humidity and is easy on the lashes without smudging.
