Therefore, KA is considered not to possess initiation nor promotion activity of skin carcinogenesis. Furthermore, from the above findings, it is suggested that KA is virtually safe as a quasi-drug ingredient.

Kojic acid, isopropylcatechol, N-acetyl-4-cysteaminylphenol, and flavonoid extracts are other compounds that have been investigated for their ability to produce hypopigmentation, but their efficacy, safety, or trial design indicates that the interventions would need further study before they could be recommended. |

It helped a lot for my acnes.
Kojic acid was firstly used by KOSE and then was checked for safety, some people think it's rumored by SHISEIDO. Now it's approved in Japan again.
So just like DMAE, it depends on individual's justification. |

This product has thyme extract and fragrance, which could irritate skin.
It also comes in a clear bottle, which in my opinion, could decrease its potency? |

I used this for a year or so. I wanted to really give it time to work properly at reducing any hyperpigmentation I had. I only have minor hyperpigmentation, but I can see it increasing as my skin ages.
I liked applying this product to my face as it gave it a cooling sensation. Yes, it can be sticky and definitely leave a green cast if you apply too much. I felt it was too sticky to use all the time and ended up just touching up my blemishes with this product as it 'contains anti-inflammatory cucumber and anti-bacterial thyme to soothe and calm irritated skin.' In the end I stopped using it as no longer did it calm or soothe my face - which tends to get red and irritated, but it also no longer seemed to calm or reduce the blemishes. |
