Hello all. 38 y/o male 10 year lurker mostly.

Long story - comas, many surgeries. Seemingly unfixable sinus (false) irritation.
- ie: I don’t have allergies. Tested.
- I don’t drink, smoke or do drugs.
- apologies. On occasion (twice yearly) I’ll have 1-2 beer or wine. = Flush like crazy.
- Avoid spicey.
- I’m a microbiologist. I installed a hospital grade home furnace- AC filtration system.

Aim for 8 hours proper sleep.
- Juice 3-5 POUNDS of fresh veg (no fruit) daily.

All started (was noticed) after last non cosmetic rhinoplasty by well respected facial surgeon.

He has been giving me stupid sprays that do nothing for.....”let’s try another three months.”

My question. I’ve the OLD quasar md red, the$795 one. Palovia. Face and Pose by Tripollar. A $3,500 THE original dermapen (used VERY rarely).

Excercise. Athletic. Healthy weight. Good blood work. Healthy blood pressure. No pets.

Use metro.... (prescription topical antibiotic) niacinamide & zinc etc.

Feel free to ask away (cold showers, intermittent fasting).

Is there an at home preferably under $500 IPL (or similar - remember, I’ve done red led therapy... blue light?

But re: IPL, one that isn’t for hair removal (without changing filters obviously. And that the seller won’t say.... “ahem, nooo,”

When he means yes lol.

Thank you all so much. Smile

Sounds like you do most everything right!
I own a BABY Q and have since the beginning. It does not go deep enough to get rid of rosacea but not drinking alcohol helps with the dreaded flush.
I have the IPL done at my derm bc that is the only place that it is strong enough to even begin to phase the redness/rosacea. But it is def more of a surface treatment. The only thing that has EVER completely reduced and gotten rid of the broken caps is the EXCEL laser. It does work until they grow back, and they will. And it hurts. BAD. I am not a wimp and have done over 15 IPLS, no numbing cream too.
I also use a rosacea cream and avoid spicy foods. I do not avoid margaritas. I have my limits.
I would be interested in other input as well!

Can I suggest you go to EarthClinic.com and look at some of the treatments suggested for Rosacea? There are many different natural treatments and it's a great resource. I can only imagine how much money it might save you too! LOL.

Best of luck!!

I don't know if you can find a really good home that's at home. But, you might be able to get many IPL treatments that aren't expensive and offer fabulous results. I'm always a little bit on the fence about at-home treatments.

Not sure if you're looking, but have you looked at the Illuminage? You used to be able to buy it at Nordstrom but I don't see it anymore. It was kind of shaped like a heart?

Out of curiosity, why IPL for sinus issues?

I am using an RX called Rosiver (Ivermectin Cream 1%p/p) for Nighttime use only, and while not a cure-all, I am impressed.
