I am interested in learning how to do basic massages, facials, and pedicures for my wife. I'm also interested in hair care in terms of washing, but not anything after it is supposed to be drying. I've been reading quite a bit of material, and quite a few product reviews, but there is so much information and it is difficult for me to figure out where to start.
I would appreciate any recommendations on teaching resources and products that I should start with. I don't want to ask my wife about any of this because she doesn't know. I'd rather it all be a surprise. Just about all I know is that she likes the Skin Food brand (she is Korean).
I'm also toying with the idea of picking up a used pedicure massage chair with foot bowl. Is that way too overkill? If I did the hair washing part I'd probably look for a deal on a shampoo bowl as well. I can't quite figure out why I'm not seeing a reclining massage chair with shampoo bowl and foot bath. Maybe my engineer brain is wired to be too efficient.
Sort of unrelated, but I've also been researching near infrared and getting back into red light therapy. I've been trying to figure out how to work that into the whole process. My first job way back when I was just out of school was working with a doctor to create flexible LED patches for red light therapy. He seemed to like it! NASA believes in it too! There is a ton of snake oil out there. It can be really hard to figure out what is real and what isn't... |
