Does anyone know which Sprite shower filter is the best to get? There are so many to choose from!

Hi Ollie,

I don't own the sprint filter, but have the oxygenator filter from showerfilterstore. I found out about it via an NCN newsletter. It really makes my hair feel silky soft and very shiny and my hair is highlighted. Just love it! I would look for a brand that states that it filters out chlorine and other toxins. Of course, its wonderful for the skin as well and helps keep it moisturized in the winter when the heat is on and skin gets dried out! Sometimes you need to pay a little bit more to get rid of all toxins, fluoride included but it's so worth it!! Best, Aprile

An update on The Sprite filter. It's terrible! It makes my hair too soft and completely unmanageable. 8'even went so far as to have 6 inches cut off my hair thinking it would help! but it didn't. I don't know what to do. My hair hates hard water and soft water. Could it be that I need to filter out more than just the chlorine. Has anyone else experienced this? Please tell me what's worked for you.

We have been living with a brand new dug well since Oct.

Yes, hard water wreaks havoc on your skin, hair, laundry, pipes, etc. The 1st sign was the white residue that was left in the dishwasher & on the faucets. My husband fluffed it off saying we'll get to it later.

One day he was wondering what happened to his hair Shock

We are getting a whole house water filtration system installed next week.

I can't wait!

Hi Ollie,

Finally had my water system installed. It is a Masters System which basically treats the hardness or softness of your water.

Didn't get the total purification system which brings your water to a more perfect drinking level. Had this kind of system in my last house which was very, very expensive & now it is even more expensive. So I stuck with the water conditioner for now. It does work great targeting the exact problems with my water.

In the mean time I found a product made out of black mica that you can add to your tap or bottled water to totally purify it back to delicious, healthy, almost therapeutic drinking water. I will give it a try & see if it really works.

If not , I will eventually go for the total water filtration system.

Hi)
"Of course, the water hardness impacts and damages our hair a lot.
I have hard water at home, so I know it better than others. Such water contains magnesium, iron, and calcium, which make our hair dry, lifeless and, hard to manage. Also, when you constantly washing your hair they acquire a strange shade.
To make the impact less harmful I use the special shampoos, conditioners, and blow dryer. You may think that it's not very important but trust me it is. I use the ones, which contain the sulfates and other detergents that will remove the remnants of styling products (or shampoos specially designed for colored hair that protect the color and prevent the accumulation of minerals on the hair.). These type of shampoos make my hair drier than usual, so I use a moisturizing conditioner(the only criteria they have to be moisturizing). Concerning the blow dryer, I use the one with ionization (this function protects my hair from over-drying and is less harmful)."

You should be careful. Hard water damages our hair, because It has some magnesium, iron and calcium that make hair stiff, dry, lifeless and sometimes it is difficult to make a hairdo.

That's insane, I never knew how much of a difference this could make. Even in cost, I was hoping to get the best of the best, but it seems like it won't be happening.

A suggestion for hard water. Can you rinse your hair with a final rinse of distilled water?

I am suggesting this if your shampoo, treatments don't seem to work.

I have been doing this for the last few shampoos and it seems to help. While I like clarifying products, I don't want my salon colour to get washed down the drain.

That is why I use a Vitamin C shower head from Japan.
