Argh! I have the luxury of writing my own RX, and still the better option is an internet off shore pharmacy..
It's disgusting! And I have one of the top insurance companies and plans..
I'm not sure about elsewhere for Retin-A in particular, but where I am in south Fl, it's $100. for a tube. |

It's sick, yeah, the US healthcare system is thoroughly broken. Something's really gotta give though, I sure hope there's progress by the time I'm a practitioner. Without my insurance helping out, my Retin-A would be over $150. Thankfully, it's a high dose for acne and I'm under 35, so my $20 copay saves the day. However, I fully intend to continue using it in lower dosages once I'm through this acne mischief, as it's truly bottled win.
Insurance companies acting as the high and mighty gatekeeper is what's forcing our system down, though that's another rant entirely. Hope you've gotten this resolved and I feel for ya. |

The same thing happened to me..my MD prescribed retin-a for my acne and the insurance co. wouldn't pay due to my age (I was 49 at the time). I then started ordering it on the internet...1st thru medsmex.com, and now thru 4cornerspharmacy.com. Screw the insurance companies...I don't even allow myself to think about the fact that they are making medical decisions with many of their employees having probably nothing more than a high school education...it's infuriating...what a mess! |

In my opinion, US consumers are getting royally screwed by pharmaceutical companies and health insurance companies by being gouged by drug prices that are many times higher than those charged elsewhere in the world and then by being denied coverage for drugs based not on medical but on financial criteria.
I'm so glad I live near the Canadian border... |

My insurance doesn't cover Retin-A. The best price I have found online for Retin-a was at http://www.verifiedwebs.net/go/Retin-a (I use 10% coupon code "10SALE10"). Hope this helps. |
