anything I have ever tried for whitening my teeth.

I just mixed 1/2 generic Listerine Mint with 1/2 Hydrogen Peroxide

This HP is 3%- same as Crest strips. Go Smile is 6% and Daywhite is 9% but I'm telling ya, just swishing with this stuff every AM and PM, my teeth have never been whiter. Well, the stains have been removed. They say that they should never call them "whiteners" b/c they can't whiten everyone's teeth, just remove stains. I don't even think my teeth are capable of being white white w/o getting veneers or some thing. that is probably what most movie stars or models do.

But the brand name Listerine Combo is like $4 which lasted me a week. I paid 87 cents for the HP and less than $3 for the giant bottle of antiseptic. This will last me a couple of months for sure.

Anyway, super easy and it works!

Do you pre-mix the two? Take a swig of each? Or mix in a glass right before swishing?

Sounds like a great idea Smile

You mix them. That's all the Listerine Whitening "Pre-Rinse" is, just HP and Antiseptic Mouthwash.

Remember it is a pre-rinse, so so swish for 60 seconds BEFORE you brush.

Yep. dentist say that you can use HP and baking soda to clean your teeth. and then they started adding it to toothpastes. Same stuff.

I need to try this. Can you use this indefinitely or only for a short period and then stop?

I wonder if this would work the same if I rinsed Crest Pro-Health rinse with the hydrogen peroxide... I can't use listerine because of the alcohol. I was told not to use alcohol based mouthwashes because I have veneers on my upper teeth. My lower teeth do not even come close to comparing with my uppers because I got the ten whitest veneers they made. Well I'm going to try this, thanks for the tip! I don't see using the Crest instead of the Listerine being a problem right?

I don't see why it would even hurt to use it indefinitely. HP and Listerine is fine to use daily as they put it in toothpaste ya know?

Don't see why you couldn't use your mouthwash with the HP either.

I didn’t have insurance much less dental insurance so I went old school and gargled with hydrogen peroxide, toothpaste and baking soda. I then rinsed with peroxide and water. The dentist told me not to tell that secret because I didn’t see a dentist for over 10 years and no cavities and very little plague. Oh yeah, forgot to add flossing. Next important thing to do. Just my 2 cents.
