Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any suggestions for a saggy neck other than surgery? My neck has been sagging since I was 28. Now at 33 it looks like my neck is falling a bit and when I turn to the side it looks even more obvious. It looks like a bit of a turkey waddle and when I lift my head it divides into two stringy areas. I tried facial exercises last year and they were so tedious I gave up. I do a bit of derma rolling, use all the serums, vitamin c, retin a etc. Can microcurrent help tone the neck area? Maybe clarablend mini?

Thanks

I know this is months later and you've probably already taken care of this issue somehow but just in case someone else with the same problem sees your post...

Those two "stringy areas" running up and down your neck? That's what is called platysmal banding. It's caused by the splitting of the platysma muscle and it's very noticeable thanks to the thin skin of the female neck (male necks have thicker skin). It's good you stopped those facial exercises because it is muscle activity that causes this banding and the skin just go along for the ride. Since you're so young it can most likely be addressed by denervating the muscle bands with Botox.

The waddle is submental fat and can be addressed with something non invasive like Kybella.

If you really want to go all in then chin liposuction and a platysmaplasty to stitch that split platysma back together. You seem awfully young for such drastic measures, though.

Thank you for giving me some pointers on what to do and helping me understand why these cords might be developing. I do agree that I'm not quite ready for drastic measures as even though it bums me out I want to avoid surgery for awhile. If anything I might consider some kind of device at home..maybe microcurrent or the new mbk curve (I may have written that wrong). Thanks again
