| P.S. Bethany - Does the dermarolling and RetinA do anything for your spots? I used RetinA Micro last summer for 3 months and saw no change in my brown spots. |

It has definitely helped a bunch on my hands, but not so much on my face. I will get significant peeling on certain spots and then hope for the best, but once the redness goes away they are still there.
I am hoping that I will see some progress over time, however. |

| Bethany - I'm so sorry to hear about the Fraxel results, but yes, I've read that can happen. Several years ago, I had two laser treatments (don't know what kind it was, but it wasn't Fraxel) that did absolutely nothing for the melasma on my cheeks. It did burn off a couple of tiny freckles on one cheekbone but the doctor said I'd need 5-8 treatments and even then he couldn't guarantee the melasma would be gone. He was going to add Levulan to the process but at $600 per treatment, I declined because I had the distinct feeling that he was "practicing." And he had an RN doing the procedure, so I wasn't confident that I was getting a medical-level service. Since then I've known two other women who had lackluster results at the same place after spending $3,000-$4,000 for weeks of treatments. All I'm able to accomplish with my at-home routine is to keep things at a status quo, but I keep researching because new lasers come out regularly. |
Don't you just love how willing they are to take our money? |

I was *really* tempted to try this after watching the video on the link Plat posted above, but after reading about your burn spots I am going to stick to my 302 products, dermarolling, and Retin-A 2x a week. Then I'll reassess 6 months from now. |
Does this mean you're not using CPs anymore beth? |

I think the m.d.s and the laser companies just can't get a handle on the many different causes of hyperpigmentation. After seeing first hand how my laser experience removed some spots and not others, it really seems that results are too variable and difficult to predict and we are the guinea pigs, paying to be tested. Brown spots are the last frontier to be conquered by the cosmetic surgery industry. Wrinkles, sagging, acne - all have foolproof remedies. |

From what I have seen and observed the lasers do too little like Fraxel/Active FX or do way too much like Co2 and Portrait Plasma.
Much more perfecting need to be done before I am letting a laser near my skin. I am with Bethany on the rolling and Retin A. |

I only use CPs (Super GHK)right after I do my long needle rolls, and I am on a hiatus from that right now.
The mega case of the uglies under my eyes was just too much for me to deal with, so I just stopped using them regularly. |

| I did. I use AHA/BHA product in every other day. Everyone has dead cell on the skin everyday. we have to get rid of it everyday. |

I think one of the problems with lasers is that they're frequently used in derm offices as a cash-cow procedure that can be performed by a technician, freeing up the dr. for seeing more patients. I've read so many articles on how the success of laser treatments is in the hands of person who does the service.
Beth-I used SkinBio CPs for over 6 months and never had any results, except for clogged pores from the too-rich-for-my-skin creams. The serum, however, is great for burns, healed one of my cooking mishaps overnight.
Nick-I use an AHA or Beta product *every* day. |

| A few weeks ago, I had a chemical peel that went very well. The process was quick, and the staff ensured I remained comfortable. In just a few days, my skin felt smoother and looked brighter, despite experiencing mild peeling for about a week. It's very important to follow all aftercare tips, especially moisturizing and avoiding direct sunlight. If you’re considering a peel, I recommend booking through a trusted platform like Sitback, where you can read reviews and select licensed professionals for safe and effective treatment. |
