Hi all,
I just had a 'lovely' experience with getting an allergy test done. I was surprised to discover I am allergic to sage and mugwort.
I was wondering if that would mean I can't use clary sage eo for some of the receipes here?? I have no idea what mugwort is, but i don't believe we have used any on the DIY threads. 
I almost bought the clary sage last week, but now I'm worried. I don't want to get all itchy if I make the HH Decleor balm. ANy ideas?
Is sage a 'vital' ingredient? Oh pooh! Allergies stink! |

| I would stay away from the Clary Sage, as whatever you put on your skin it does get absorbed into the body. |

I agree with Rosebud - definitley stay off Clary Sage or any Sage. It isn't irreplaceable in the DIY... It is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic as is Lavender. There are a lot of oils that are antiseptic, among them Lemon, TeaTree, Neroli. You could replace the Clary sage with any of them as well. But if you use Lemon (or any other citrus oil) in watch out with sunexposure as it makes your skin more photosensitive.
I just checked out the recipe in the DIY thread, and would say that you can just skip it..you've got all the oils you need in it
