Has anyone compared the two? Please note that Idebenol has no idebenone in it, it's a marketing ploy by Sovage to ride idebenone's popularity. It uses a different formula with sunflower oil as active ingredient along with anthocyanins, ferulic acid, caffeic acid, polyphenols and hibiscic acid mixed with green tea, marine glycan, linoleic acid, beta sitosterol and phospholipids.

I use Prevage as part of my overall skin care regimen and, although my skin looks better with it than without, it isn't as if I'm some passionate Prevage devotee. And, I admit that I haven't tried the new Sovage product. I WON'T TRY IT EITHER.

I find Sovage to be thoroughly obnoxious in their advertising. Their overall claims are ridiculous and insulting. It's too bad really - Strivectin seems to be a reasonably effective product for alot of people (although I didn't care for it and found it did nothing for me...), but their "better than botox" claims are just off the wall.

I won't buy their products unless and until they stop the bs.

This reminded me of something I just ran across on another website. I was looking at the Alpha Hydrox site. At the bottom of the description for the Alpha Hydroxy treatment creams and lotions, they are now stating that using their products may extend the life of botox. By doing what? Exfoliating? I can't stand that these companies are allowed to oughtright lie to us.

Wrinkle relaxers that contain acetyl hexapeptide and other peptides can help prolong Botox results since they keep surface muscles relaxed somewhat. Thus, you do have a flatter effect for a longer time period. I didn't think that Hydroderm had any wrinkle-relaxing ingredients like acetyl hexapeptide or vialox in it? Did they change the formula? Anyhow, their instant credit card charging gimmick is a real turn-off to me so I won't go near them.

This was not Hydroderm. This was Alpha Hydrox, the one in the red box from the drugstore. I could not find anything that would prolong the life of Botox. This is from AlphaHydrox dotcom.

i bought sovage last year...i dont know what i was thinking when i bought it. i used it for a few weeks. i inspected my skin every day for a good sign-any sign- that this expensive mystery cream worked. during this time my skin "seemed" to look worse -drier and dull looking. i dont know if this was caused by sovage -but at that price i expect my skin to look a little bit better. back to the store it went.

i bought it around the holidays at filenes. it is called sovage idebenone. in a green and white tube...it costs about $120

it never caused me major problems -i dont remember the specific reaction my skin had to this product -i just remember it wasnt good...it was more dull and dry looking. i only used it for a few weeks. maybe if someone stuck it out -they would see an improvement.

Ahhhh ok - thank you ! I was confused when I read your first post....

I use Prevage and I'm happy with it. I've said earlier that I find Sovage's advertising to be obnoxious and misleading. They form a new corporate structure for every product they put out. What is the point of that????
