I've been taking them and yes, I have FULL lips in the morning. That is pretty amazing. But now that I'm on Menstrual Cycle, I have swelling all over my face in the AM! I mean I woke up to a really rediculous, swollen face. I know I retain more water during this time, but I just don't care for it. Just wondering if anyone else had sim exp... |

Yes, I have mentioned before that if I take more than 2 tablets a day, after a while I wake up with the same puffiness in my face, particularly in my eyes. I'd just cut back and see if that helps. It did for me. |

But did it affect your lips?
I just ordered some City Lip collegen treatment. It has received raves from MUA and other forums. I think it was mixed here on EDS.
I do like the Lipfusion XL but I thought a dif approach might be better. My teenage daughter gets better results from the LF. She is younger and probably has more "water" in her lips. That is what the LF adhears to. So that is probably why it does not work as well for some.
So I think I will try the CL for awhile. I'd rather try a topical (that moisturizes as well) over something I have to remember to take twice a day, you know? But it (HA supplements) was an intersting experiment, I have to say. |

I've just ordered my HA supplements. But now I am scared to try them! How long did it take for the swelling in your face to go away? Also, how swollen was it, and was it so much that appearing in public was not an option? |

Yes, I noticed facial puffiness when I took HA tablets. My lips FELT a bit fuller, but I can't say that they LOOKED noticeably fuller. Like TAMgirl99, I couldn't take as many as 4 a day without experiencing a bit of swelling.
I believe there are probably various benefits imparted by oral HA -- so many people have tried it and liked it. But since I experienced puffiness, I'm a bit concerned that they could be problematic for anyone who's hypertensive -- water retention could be an unfavorable side effect. A consultation with one's doctor in this case may be prudent. |
