When everyone 'sandwiches' what sort of drying times are you leaving in between each layer.
For example,
Cleanser (then no time)
Toner if used (then no time)
O2 (then till dry?)
Vit C (how many mins?)
O2 (how many mins?)
Moisturiser
Would some of you more experienced girls kindly advise? I am wondering whether the normal Vit C 30 mins should be before or after the second layer of O2.
Thanks,
Daisy |
I've been using O2 for abt1.5 mths now... although no significant effect i've seen so far, it feels GREAT instantly after applying it into my skin... very soft and smooth!
since O2 is very watery, it usually dries pretty quickly... i would say 1 min? i would then apply either Vit C (in the morning) and ALA (at nite). I didnt do the sandwiching (although i really want to) as I am usually in a hurry (for work) and cant wait that long. Thus, i would like to know, too, if it's OK to apply the 2nd layer of O2 after just a few minutes (say 3-4 mins)?
any suggestions? |

Your Vitamin C is the only thing after which you need to wait any length of time. After applying L-Ascorbic Acid, you should wait 15-20 minutes before applying anything else in order for your skin to return to the proper PH level. That way you don't lose the effectiveness of the C and it doesn't interfere with the rest of the actives in your applications. After that you may proceed with the rest of your routine.

oh, so maybe i should switch to apply Vit C at nite instead? so that i will have more time to wait for it to absorb...
so does it mean that I dun have to wait as long for other actives eg ALA?
many thx! |

Some do use the Vit C at night instead of daytime. I've never understood why unless it's a timing issue because of the morning rush. Vit C is an anti-oxidant and you really need that for the daytime to protect your skin from the free radicals in your environment.

p.s. Right. You don't have to wait for the others. |

IC... but ALA is also anti-oxidant, rite? so if I use ALA in the morning, i can eliminate the waiting time and should have the same effect (fencing off free radicals)? |

Yes. Not an expert so I guess you could do it that way. Vit C is a super anti-ox, which is why I prefer it for day and my ALA for night. |

I guess so... but since I am always running late in the morning (love my bed too much! ), 20mins waiting time will probably be close to impossible (or i will become jobless soon...)
a million thanks arielle. let me try the ALA in the morning instead and sandwich it with another layer of O2 and see if it will be better...
will let u know the results! |

I've finally started using a full size bottle of the stuff, I was rather dismayed at the tiny little bottle - always thought it would be at least the size of their toners, but I should read the description...
I find this 'texture' to be really strange, if I use on a clean face it does not leave the slightly silky feeling like Zenbiotic products (perhaps I am too used to ZB toners?) but my hydrosols also have a distinctively different feeling to the O2 spray - it could be to do with the ingredients too.
Fingers crossed I will wake up with a glow |

I have consumed one bottle and have my second bottle going to be finished and need to order the 3rd. I use it at bedtime, sometime in the morning or whenever I need a fresh. Everytime I have the O2 serum applied on face, it gives me a fresh up feeling...... no dull anymore. If the package can grow up to larger size will be great, 30ml is a bit small size but handy for carrying around. |

Mt: the PSF website sells the larger size. I wish EDS would carry it both for the discount and so I can combine things for one shipping fee. Maybe if enough people ask they will they have been responsive in the past when I ask them about changing what they carry. |

Good Idea,
I would also prefer EDS to carry the larger size. Off to send an email to EDS CS |

Finally I finished my 2nd bottle last night, a bottle of 30ml of O2 serum consumed within 6 weeks (ordered in Feb 07 and finished by March 07). Looking forward to larger size available in EDS. |

Hi: Thanks for this review -- could you tell me where you ordered the treatment sampler pack from? I checked essentialdayspa but I couldn't see it.
Thanks! |

Hi all, agreed EDS should carry the larger size as I finish my 1st bottle in less than 1 month...(sometimes, I spray it on in AM as well to make my face fresh!). |

I agree, EDS should have a large size.
I just got O2 serum last week.
It smells like water in pool but ny skin likes it.
I feel soft and smooth.
Moreover, I see my red mark is reduced.
So, I will re-order soon. |

Here is the reply I got from EDS's CS:
Yes, we can get the O2 rescue serum in a 2oz bottle. If there is a demand for the larger bottle we we bring it in on a permitted basis. If you would like to order it now we can do this for you also. When placing an order just put it in the comment box. Then we will order it from the wholesaler. I hope this helps you and we look forward to your business.
Best Regards
Thank you for your patronage.
Bonnie,
Essential Day Spa
So, please, anyone who would like the large size of O2 serum please email EDS's CS |

WildCat that's great! *off to send an email*
Do you think the price will be the same as on PSF's site? |

I think so. EDS charge about the same for other PSF items so I don't see why they wouldn't extend that bulk discount to us. |

How can I know the total purchase?
EDS should add 2 oz size and metion price on web as same as 1 oz.
So I can compare and know the total. |

Thanks for the info. How does this work with the sandwiching, i.e. should the drying time for the Vit C be before or after the second layer of P2? |
