Hi there! I'm new to this forum and I find it terrific! ....
I would pretty much appreciate your help for finding a good moisturizer/skincare regimen for my skin.
I used Clinique for the past year and it completely ruined my skin! I always had a normal, break out free skin: now my skin is dry, I have red patches all over my cheeks and break outs!
What should I do now? Can you suggest any skincare regimen? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!.. |

For my face, I'm using the Calming BioLipid creme (cellularskinrx - here on EDS). It's great for dry skin that has redness/irritability problems which describes mine during the winter.
For under-eyes, I've been test driving the Jurlique Wrinkle-Protection cream and it's very nice.
Completely natural moisturizers- rose hip oil (for mature, sensitive skin), rice brain oil and jojoba oil. |

Argh Clinique.........you poor thing!!!
Try Dr Hauschka, the introductory tin for normal/sensitive/dry skin. |

For my skin the best is cream de La Mer. I tried to use many others, but all of them would give me dry patches, and would irritate my skin. Cream de La Mer heals my skin in a few days. I use it as an eye cream, too. |

Aloette Skin Recovery System & Revitacel our two of my favorites.someone else posted on my skin care blog about Aloette here is what she posted.
This is one product line I really like. At 48 it was time to find a skin care program but most seem too heavy, greasy or irritate my skin. I have been very happy with this line, particularly the platinum line which has argiraline, matryxil and several herbal ingredients. I have always had pretty good skin but lately women are asking me what kind of skin care I use. This after 4 months on Aloette. I think I will stick with it.

I would recommend either the Decleor Harmonie range or the Babor Calming Sensitive range.
But more than that I would strongly recommend emailing the ladies at EDS (email addy is at the bottom of the shop page) and tell them as much info as you can on your skin type and current state and they will recommend which products to use!!
The girls are WONDERFUL!! |

I'd recommend Dr Hauschka. Try the introductory tin like rosebud suggested. I've found Dr Hauschka to be wonderful on my skin. I was amazed at how clear and glowing my skin was after I started using the Dr H Cleansing Cream! They have a rose day cream which is *very* rich and would be lovely for dry skin. |

I 2nd all the recommendations for Decleor, Creme de la Mer, and also pure oil(I like Jojoba). Perhaps you can get some samples of the Decleor and Creme de la mer to try out first(the Jojoba is fairly inexpensive--I like Desert Esscence. If you don't like it as a moisturizer, you can use it in your hair, body, etc...). |

Thanks to all of you for your answers! I will certainly look into it.
For Dr H., I tried it in the past (cleansing lotion/toner/rose cream) but, guess what?! it irritated my skin too! I was very disappointed because I really did like the rose smell and the cream texture...
I'm thinking about going back to my old routine of La Roche Posay line (active c/toleriane/hydraphase), I used it for many years and my skin was quite receptive to it...It's just so expensive to get it here in the US!...
I'm trying now a sample of Kinerase cream, and I might say that it seems pretty good! But my skin is feeling a little bit "strectched" under the cream, so I wonder if this will be ok in the long term...?
I will follow your advices and sample some Decleor, I've read so many good reviews so I might give it a try as well!...
Cheers |
