Hi, I use Renova 0.050% a few times a week and was just wondering if switching to either the SC or PSF 1% retinol treatment would be a step up or down? I really ought to leave well enough alone...the renova works well for me, but was just wondering if either of these products are stronger. Thanks Smile

Hi Jala,

I haven't used the Renova and I am terrible at math so I can't answer your question on which one is stronger. But I have used both SkinCeuticals .5% and then moved up to PSF 1%. I found that the SC was very nice for keeping my acne at bay (especially when also interchanging with the SC intense line defense.) This means that all of the ingredients in these products did not irritate me or get oily. they were very gentle and smoothing and sink in. I used that retinol every day until I switched to PSF. Now I use the pulse system they recommend. I am noticing a huge difference so I believe it is strong, but I don't have any peeling or breakouts still, so I give this a big thumbs up!

Jala,

It would be a step down for sure. Rx strength retinoid is way stronger than retinol products. If renova is working well for you, don't mess with it Very Happy

Hi, pnw

Could you tell me more about the pulse system?
How does it work? I've been using PSF Retinol 0.5% and ready to move to try 1.0% soon.
