Any comments on any of these products - especially the Babor ones as I haven't tried Babor yet.
The Babor Daily Balancer is for boyfriend, but the rest is for me *rubs her hands with glee* Very Happy I've contacted MDFormulations to ask if there is an actual difference between the ladies and the mens line - cause that traveler set is very well priced...

-MD Formulations Mens Deluxe Traveler (3 items in set)

-Babor for Men Daily Balancer (75ml)

-Tweezerman Brow Scissors & Brush

-Colorescience Eye Thick & Curly Mascara - A Cup O' Joe (7.1g/ 0.25oz)

-Babor SCSG Travel Set - Perfect Combination (4 items)

-Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque (74 ml / 2.5 oz.)

The order will have to wait until the end of the month - we got a nasty surprise bill from the electricity company, ouch

The only thing I have tried from that list is the Babor HY-OL which is in the kit you're after. I used this with one of its additives that it's supposed to be used with. I really like this - I think it's better than the Decleor oil cleanser (which I used for a while and thought was very good at the time).

I haven't tried the Colorescience product you're after either but my experience with the line (a few years back just after it came out) has not left me wanting to repurchase anything other than their brush cleaner (particularly not their powder eye liner - which sounded *so* good in theory! perhaps I just got the wrong color...). I have to qualify this by saying that I think my gripe is mainly with their packaging, which tries to be clever but doesn't quite do what it's supposed to. For example, I had their mineral makeup (in the brush dispenser) - the mineral makeup is good, the brush dispenser was useless.

ps. Send the electricity company your skincare bill in retaliation Smile

The brush itself is too harsh on the skin and I get puffs of powder coming out unevenly. I do use this when I travel and I'm too lazy to pack properly but I would not say that I love this. Again, the actual mineral powder is very good if I apply it with something else (i.e. tip it out and use the JI Handi Smile).

The shadow eye liner - I think again this is a matter of the tip. I was *really* escited to try this. I love using eye shadow as liner but it's more tedious than just normal liner. So this was supposed to be the magic solution. Well, I found the tip to be a bit too hard and the powder wasn't really sticking to it. Every time I applied it I'd have it falling onto my face as well.

Here are my older comments on it, although I essentially reiterated them here Smile http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=4344

well Laughing my final shopping list didn't quite turn out like the original, but then it rarely does... This is what I'm looking forward to getting in about a week!!!! Jubiii Very Happy

**MD Formulations Sun Protector 20 - am going to Austria on a conference trip at the end of the month, so figured I should listen to you guys and use sunscreeen before I hit the slopes (or should I say crash...)...

**MD Formulations Mens Deluxe Traveler. I got in touch with MDF's customer service about the difference between the male and the female line seeing the ingredients lists are identical, and the girl wasn't too interested in answering my question for me and tried to get me to call their "products specialist". After a few days of mailing back and forth I finally got an answer from what I took to be her superior - The male line can be used by men and women. Essentially I don't believe there's any difference, just price tag and colour of packaging... If I should notice a difference in the facial cleansers I will be sure to get back. There's an eye cream in this set, which my man is getting

**Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque - been dying to try this for ages now after smashing reviews on here

**Rosie Jane Lip Dew - Apple Blossom ; what can I say, CaspersMums review got me

**Juice Beauty Smoothing Eye Concentrate - need an eye cream, like the sound of this one, and I just fancy the brand... And am feeling obliged to try something new to review for you gals Wink

**Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum - your reviews got me to get this too...

So this is what I spent my lovely voucher on Laughing

Oh, and I've asked for samples of several different moisturizers - babor, dermalogica and Juice Beauty...dying to try something new - and the boyfriend is getting seriously tired of the Decleor scent... Confused strange Laughing

OOOh, I really like the J.B. eye cream. A little goes a long way. I also love their nutrient and oil free moisturizers. The nutrient m. smells a little like bubble gum and makes my skin really soft.

I'm gonna have to go read the reviews of the blemish clearing serum right now.

Have fun with your new purchases. Very Happy

P.S. How's your H.M. vitamin c tonic spray working out for you? Are you still using it?

hey cloe Very Happy
great to hear you like the eyecream, haven't heard anything about it - was just brave and took the virgin plunge Laughing what does it smell like? I've asked for a sample of the nutrient bubblegum cream - not sure I want to be smelling like bubblegum though...

i haven't been useing the vit c tonic for a while now, probably a couple of weeks. I got quite a few cystic bumps and a few pimples and got a bit stressed out, so cut down my rutine to the bare minimal again. I think actually I was overdoing it with the vit c - twice a day, and my face was feeling a bit tight.

I will be incorporating the c-tonic again, just not as aggressivley as I did before - was too excited to think straight Laughing and forgot the rule "less is more".

Hi Ruth,

The eye cream doesn't have much of an aroma. It's just a very faint fruity scent.

The Nutrient moisturizer only slightly reminds me of bubble gum but you don't notice the smell after a minute, if that. Their products seem to be very mild as far as fragrance goes.

Hi Ruth,

I've only been trying them out for a couple of weeks now so I can't give an in depth review but here's what I like about them so far.

My skin was a little on the dry side after ocm. When I applied my mmu, up close my skin had that cracked look like the desert and was mildly uncomfortable.

I started using J.B. nutrient moisturizer and immediately my skin was no longer dry. The moisturizer is very silky when it goes on and seems a little heavy at first but it soaks right in and is slightly dewey. To me it smells a little like bubble gum when it goes on, but the fragrance disappears almost as fast as it goes on. It's a soft scent and a little fruity.

The first time I used this, I applied it over my Aveda tourmaline charged radiance fluid (I've been using this for a couple of years now) and the two didn't mix well. Together they formed little white things all over my face, not bad but kind of like when you wipe a tissue on a dark piece of fabric and it leaves little remnants on the fabric. At that moment I didn't care because I was going to bed. I was able to brush most of them off with my fingers anyway. When I woke up the next day my skin was glowing. I now use this one when I don't use the Aveda rad. fl. and I don't have any problems, just glowing skin. This one worked great over the h.m. vit. c serum.

In the morning after cleansing I tried the oil-free moisturizer over the radiance fluid and no problems. The oil-free is a little thicker and slightly dry feeling when it goes on. It still moisturized my skin well and gave more of a matte finish. This one, the aroma is very faint when it goes on and it's hard to say what it even smells like as it disappears even more quickly than the other.

My skin is kind of combo, oily and dry at the same time and acne prone. I haven't had any problems with either of these moisturizers breaking me out or causing any problems. They seem to just do their job and I like that.

Thanx Cloe! Appreciate your input on the moisturizers.
So far I'm really happy with my J.B. purchases - the eyecream is nice, feels rich, but sinks right in. I've only ever used Decleor eye-cream-gel before and it is much lighter in texture but I feel that Juice Beauty moisturizes better. I mostly apply some hydrating booster under the decleor one but don't feel I need the extra juice ( Wink ) with the smoothing concentrate.

I'll keep your words in mind when the time comes for a new moisturizer.

I did not like the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque at all. It did not do anything for me !!! I would go for the multivitamin mask that got wonderful reviews here ( I have not tried it yet but it is on my shoppinglist)

Any comments on any of these products:

-Tweezerman Brow Scissors & Brush
Hey Ruth -

I’ve tried a lot of scissors that are supposed to be good for grooming eyebrows, including the Tweezermans that you are thinking of, and I have to say that I didn’t have very good results with them. Maybe it’s because I’m left-handed, so it’s difficult for me to use tools and implements that are typically designed for the right-handed world, but I using most brow trimming scissors would invariably leave me with a bald spot in one or both brows from accidental “gouges.”

For this reason, I was OVERJOYED to find that the Anastasia Brow Scissors were the first that I’d ever used that gave me professional results! They are wicked expensive at $22.50USD per pair, but if you take reasonable care of them they’ll last you a lifetime. (I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND the matching Anastasia tweezers which put Tweezermans to shame. I believe so highly in both of these Anastasia products that I reviewed both on MUA (I don’t post reviews on MakeupAlley unless it is for products that I have found to be exception – not that anyone cares! I mean, I’m not the be-all, end-all authority, but I’m just trying to say that I don’t waste time reviewing stuff if it isn’t something that I would recommend to my family or friends or give as gifts, etc.). If you can afford it, I highly recommend investing in the 5-piece or 7-piece Anastasia brow grooming kit appropriate for your coloring because it includes the tweezers, the equally wonderful dual-ended brow spooly-wand and brow powder brush, along with the fanatastic EyeLights highlighting pencil, along with a couple other products such as the Anastasia two-shade brow powder compact, after-tweezing soothing cream and brow stencils (weren’t so thrilled with those) because it’s a better value to get these items in the kit then it is to buy each piece separately. And if you get the kit, the only additional individual item you’d need to get would be the brow scissors. You can get all this stuff from Sephora stores or their website. If you’re not able to order from Sephora online, I’d be happy to arrange a custom purchase for you and purchase the Anastasia stuff and ship it to you. Seriously, it’s that good. But even if you decide you didn’t like it afterall, you could send the stuff back to me and I’d get your refund and transmit the funds back to you....

Just my 2¢, for what it’s worth!

Carrie - you are such a sweatheart! Thanx for your review and many thanx for your offer. I'll definitley have a look at Sephoras homepage. I decided against getting the tweezerman, and after what you've just said, I'm glad I did.
