I tried colourscience and Peter Thomas Roth mineral SPF (which is similar to IS). Totally disappointed as the brush is not desirable and not easy to apply as powder can't come out easily. Extra effort is needed.
Found Jane Iredale mineral powder-me-spf 30(but not in EDS) and have been using for over a mth.
Very happy with it as it offers the SPF coverage i wanted and what i want the powder SPF to achieve ie. "putting on a foundation but not make-up base". I will strongly recommend Jane Iredale as it comes in a sponge-like container. Easy to apply.
Check it out janeiredale.com |

This revolutionary powder containing gentle physical UV blockers: 25% titanium dioxide and 20% zinc oxide in a nanotechnology formulation, provides the ultimate broad spectrum sun protection. Micronized mineral filters help prevent sunburn and redness while protecting the skin against UVA and UVB rays linked to premature aging and skin damage. Non-comedogenic. Fragrance-free and non-irritating. Available in translucent and sun medium |
there was a discussion here recently on nano-particles in sunscreens, and somebody said that nanoparticles could be really dangerous and harmful when inhaled! And this sunscreen contains such a high amount of titanium in nano-form, with nano-titanium being potentially much more dangerous than zinc. As one cannot avoid inhaling some particles of powder while applying it, I would stay away from such a product!!! |

So I'm a little confused here...what form is the JI powder sunscreen in? Is it pressed or loose and how is it applied? I was thinking of ordering the ISC powder sunscreen because it seems so convenient. But reading the reviews, I'm not so sure... |

It is powder form in a small container with a sponge attached for application. Like those shimmer loose powder. Log on to Janeiredale website to see it. |

Fairrene, I was talking about IS Clinical Powder Sunscreen, as this thread was about this product, not Jane Iredale one, sorry if it has confused you. |
