I use my aspirin mask on a daily basis and have been doing so since around last April. No problems yet! |

I too have been using the asprin mask four days out of the week for a little while now. I would need someone to tell me what the heck that post is saying...and then I could maybe comment. I to, have had not problems only GREAT results. |

This addresses ingested medications, not topical as with the aspirin mask. I don't think this means anything for aspirin mask users.
Something else I thought of after posting this, I don't think of aspirin as a non-steriodal. If I need to take a non-steriodal agent, I take something like Advil, not aspirin. |

I think "non-steroidal" refers to any pain medication that isn't a steroid. I know that Aleve [sodium naproxin (sp?)] is considered a "non-steroidal" pain medication ... and I suspect that aspirin falls into that category as well.
I have used the aspirin mask with wondrous results ... and I also use salicylic acid as a peel/exfoliator. I know that salicylic acid can't penetrate very far into the skin ... and it's considered a "superficial" peel ... meaning it just works on the outer layers of the skin.
It's my understanding, [which could be incorrect of course ... ] however, that exfoliation encourages collagen production ... so I'm not sure what the entire paper was getting at.
I have never had any adverse reactions to the aspirin mask ... so I'd certainly keep on using it.
