Hi,
Does anyone experience eyelids and under eye puffiness when using Ardell? Every time I use it happens to me. Please, help! Do I apply to much? How heavy do you apply it? When you apply it, does it touch your eyelashes roots?
Thank you. |

Hi Doba,
I apply the Ardell just like I'm putting on mascara for an evening out and I try to get it as close to the roots as possible.
I've experienced the eye puffiness when I use a lot of castor oil or any other oil on my eyelashes and eye area. I think this area absorbs ingredients way more because the eye area is so thin and delicate.
It may be that you are using too much and just need to cut back, or you could be sensitive to something in Ardell.
How much are you applying? |

Hi Cloe,
I think that you are right and I am applying too much. My eyes are also very sensitive, so maybe I am allergic to it.
Thanks for the information provided. |

You're welcome. Try applying a smaller amount and see if that makes a difference. If you still get puffy, then maybe try a different brand. Others here have had luck with Starlash, Dreamlash and especially Lucia. |

I have Lucia, but didn't open it, yet. I am afraid that it will also give me puffy eyes. |

I totally understand your reluctance in trying Lucia.
Hopefully someone else will chime in here with a good suggestion for you. |

Hi Doba,
I bought the ardell about 1 month ago and experienced puffiness and redness in the am, also I felt like I had little sand particles in my eyes. I tried using it lightly as suggested, and still had a problem. CVS has Dream lash for 9.99 and I am going to compare the ingredients and if they are not similar, I will give it a try. I will a post a reply either way.

Jill,
Apparently we both are allergic to something in Ardell.
Thank you for your replay |

It’s probably the castor oil in the Ardell that is giving you problems – it’s listed on the ingredients list under it’s “scientific” name so you probably didn’t recognize it. Lucia doesn’t contain any castor oil so I seriously doubt it will give you any problems. You’re probably not going to want to try my homemade lash serum once I get it ready for “mass distribution” because it *does* contain castor oil.... |
