I am just beginning to do research on Vitamin C and how it can help aging skin.
I'm finding it difficult to wade through all the information I'm seeing and conflicting advice.
Can someone give me some "Vitamin C for Dummies" info? Just the basics I need to know about implementing Vitamin C into my skincare regimen and where I should begin with it.
One specific question: would it be overkill to add Vit C to a regimen that already includes daily gylcolic and 3 times a week Retin A? Or will these three products complement each other? |

I was on Obagi which is a product blended with Retin A used nightly and a glycolic clenser. I used Obagi Professional 20% vitamin C every AM.
I've had wonderful results. |

Well I know there are a ton of Vitamin C products out there on the market, but I'm kind of wondering what specific ingredients I should look for, what "percentage" I should get and all that.
Also, I've heard from a lot of places that since Vitamin C is so sensitive, it's best to make some sort of solution yourself at home. Anyone have any info on this? |

Go to the top of this page and click on "DIY skincare recipes". It's the third topic. DIY stands for Do It Yourself. The first recipe is for a Vit C product. There are probably tons of vaious other C recipes posted. That's one of the beauties of DIY. You can tweek it to your skin.
I can't see any reason you couldn't use a C product. It is best used in the AM because it has some UV blocking ability. |
