I take alot of baths and would love to create an ultimate routine of adding ingredients to the water to help my skin all over as much as my face. Think of it as a hot water concoction in a spray bottle...The problem is I can't use oils. They make me break out. I was wondering if anyone here adds other actives to their baths like extracts? to help with issues like firming and wrinkles, etc? (Don't really need extra hydration) |

Yea, while you guys are brainstorming on that (speaking of baths) I can't take baths because when I do, I always get bladder infections. Does anyone else have this problem? I wonder if there is anything I can put in the water that would help matters? I just moved into a new apartment and it has a bathtub, and I would loooove to use it. But Im afraid . |

I know you can put milk in the bath, the lactic acid in it is supposed to make your skin nice and smooth. Not sure how much, but I've seen it on a few websites.
Wonder if you could use powdered milk and keep a tin in the bathroom? |

I've had the same problem in the past, but mine was caused by bubble bath. I think if you just take a normal bath without any extras and use a mild soap (I use baby shampoo) then you'll be alright. I've always heard that bubble bath is the main problem, although I'm not exactly sure why. I'd also keep your time in the bath to about 10 minutes. More than that isn't great for your skin anyways. Good luck! |

I can't use bubble bath either.
Just wanted to post that I used to suffer badly from Bladder Infections, about 4/5 years ago, I would suffer at least once every 3 months!!
I saw a homeopath for unrelated skin treatment and mentioned the Cystistis, he gave me Cantharis 30c (you can buy this in most health stores or online), it is the standard Homeopathic remedy for bladder infections.
It cleared in half the time that it would have taken for the antibiotics to start working and after 2 boughts of cystitis both treated by taking Cantharis I have not (touch wood) had an attack for 4/5 years!!!
When it comes to bathing I normally add a little sea salt to the water and (I am not sensitive to oils) Tea Tree Oil in a bit of milk. |

I unfortunately suffer from chronic urethritis. It feels like I have a bladder infection (horrible pain, feel like I have to pee all of the time) but everytime I would go to the doc, they'd test me and not find anything. I finally went to see a urologist and she told me that it was urethritis and not a bacterial infection. Basically the only way I can deal with it is to take those wonderful pain killers (either over the counter like Uristat or script) that make your pee turn colors. Luckily these episodes have gotten few and far between and now only occur about once ever three months. |
