can anyone give me some suggestions for the best waterproof mascara? I would like one that doesn't flake and also makes your eyelashes long and lush (i really don't want much)

Hi, I use Chanel Waterproof Mascara. Although it is good and makes your lashes longer, it is too expensive...

Shiseido waterproof mascara. I have used many 'waterproof' mascaras and they have pretty much all smeared on me with the exception of this one. It is so waterproof that it is a bit hard to remove, but that seems a small price to pay - to me anyway- for a good waterproof mascara.

here is a vote for NO mascara. I use the 1000 hour lash tint, and don't need mascara anymore!!!

Also use Shiseido waterproof. It stays on well and doesn't smudge as much. The tube does not seem to last that long though without clumping up, or maybe it is me. Anyway, it is still a good mascara and will continue to use it after faithfully using Maybelline greatlash for decades! I loved the price but it smudged after a long day of wear. Now I have yet to give the Shiseido the beach test.

Max Factor's Lashfinity... The only stuff that works for me and makes my lashes look nice and full (I have tiny, stick straight lashes)... Unfortunately Max Factor discontinued it, you might be able to find it on ebay or something... Crying or Very sad

Shu Uemura Basic Mascara--really waterproof, holds a curl like nothing else I've tried, no flaking, no smearing or smudging...but it's very natural looking and takes some doing to get really lush-looking lashes. Also, the price is steep Sad ...but still my favorite Very Happy

I use RIMMEL waterproof. It comes in many different colors and I like the brush. Does not flake, or peel or is not dry so it cracks. What else I like about it, is the price.

I just wanted to clarify. The Shiseido mascara that I was referring to is actually called the Lasting Lift Mascara I think. I wasn't sure if there was an addtional waterproof in the line and it might be confusing. On removing it by the way, I just read that if you put some baby oil, or some kind of Aveda oil on your lashes and let it sit for a few seconds before trying to remove the mascara that it comes off fairly easily. I haven't tried it yet myself, but just an FYI.

You are right Marella, it is the lasting lift that I use that I referred to as waterproof also. I'm not sure if they call it waterproof. I use baby oil to get it off and I still have to let it set a few seconds or I can pull out a lash.
