I've been lurking around for awhile and have finally decided to jump in. I am getting ready to start on Obagi, after meeting with a nurse esthetician. She has recommended a modified version of the line.

My question to you guys is how bad is this going to be? I'll be using the cleanser, toner, C-serum (skin ceuticals), Clear, Exfoderm and sunblock (haven't chosen one yet) during the day. At night the plan is similar except no Exfoderm or sunblock and I will apply Azelex instead of Retin A.

In 6 weeks I will go in for laser treatment of the spider veins on my face. My skin is combination and a bit sensitive AND I have rosacea. Any feedback would be appreciated. I held off purchasing the product until I did some research and I value your input.

I could also use a recommendation for a really good sunscreen.

I have tried obagi years ago. My routine was similar to your except I didn't use vit c and I used retin-a with blender.

I had combo skin when I started obagi. I peeled for months. It was so bad that I didn't leave the house for weeks. When I did go out, I had people constantly asking me if I was ok because my face was beet red.

After 4 months of redness, peeling, breakouts (I didn't breakout before obagi), I stopped the whole program. My face finally stopped flushing 6 months later. Unfortunately, my skin stayed super-sensitive since obagi. Plus my hypigmentation were still there...was hoping obagi would fade them.

Since you have rosacea, I would recommend you check with fellow rosaceans or the various rosacea boards online to get more feedbacks.

It is good that you are doing research before starting. I just jumped right in...silly me Sad

Good luck!

As you have sensitive skin, I think I would stay away from chemical s/s. Something with lots of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide might be best for you. If you do a surch, I'm sure you will find lots of rec's.

Rosacea can be very tricky. I agree with mtview, check some rosacea boards.

If you do use Clear, just put it on the brown spots you may have. That's what i do and it has helped without having the beet red face.
