Just wondered if any of you had tried these daily? Boyfriend who was until recently suffering with acne has noticed a reduction in severity of spots recently, think it is due to these additions to his routine.

He currently takes, Garlic, B5 and B6, Evening Primrose Oil and Zinc+Vit C. Seems to be going well.

Taking Vit A didnt help, situation got worse, but then we never knew that the body can have too much of it and that had an adverse effect.

Hi There
I take Zinc, B-complex, HA and Pantothenic Acid suppliments. I have seen a huge improvement in my skin (acne). It seems it has made my skin "tougher" too. I know that sounds strange, but I wanted to make a posting about my face skin seems (not so easy to damage). I think I am having a hard time explaining it, I really mean my pimples seem to extract more easy with less damage and heal a lot quicker. Do you think it is the suppliments I am taking?

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! Smile Vitamins, minerals, amino acids and the beloved essential fatty acids are essential for healthy, radiant skin. They not only are essential for skin conditions such as acne, but also for wrinkles and firmness in the skin. The skin is kept alive and collagen is built through nutrients taken in through out body, so yes, these things are indeed making a difference. I have noticed for myself that when I began to eat a good diet and take a lot of supplements that my skin got younger and prettier and when I have stopped taking them, I not only look more tired and older, I feel like.. well, you know.. Crying or Very sad Which reminds me, I need to order some supplements, I haven't taken anything at all for months and can really feel and see a difference in my skin. All vitamins, minerals, etc. work synergistically however, so you need to make sure you are getting adequate doses of them all, as B-vitamins and antioxidants, etc. depend on each other to help protect and repair the body and skin. So only taking a few nutrients everyday isn't going to really help as much as taking them all in the long run. Also getting adequate protein and essential fats in the diet really make a difference in the skin too.. and zinc is a proven beauty helper, healing skin that has been damaged, protecting it, as well as helping with breakouts and acne. However, there is a lot of hype around Vitamin A being toxic, it would take a LOT to be toxic or to have an adverse effect. Usually 10,000 IU is sufficient from Fish liver oil and Beta Carotene (which has not toxicity level since it is flushed out of the body daily and not fat-soluble). Wink

I noticed a huge improvemant in my skin from taking supplements.
I take Zinc, B 100 Complex, Vitamin C, Vitamin A.

Vitamin B6 works most effectively when taken alongside the other B vitamins, they work better as a team.
