Has anyone tried this? I am trying to find a very simple and inexpensive hydrater. I bought "Aloe Life 99% pure Skin Gel" and it's kind of sticky. Also, after it dries it leave a weird film or something. Not at all like you put on a great hydrater that soaks in and leaves no trace.

I was wondering if Epicuren is the same?
hmm

I have never been a big fan of using Aloe Vera Gel as a moisturiser, the whole film thing!!
I have used Aloe Vera for treating burns, I smother the area with the Gel, then wrap in cling film, no blisters, scars..
The best Aloe Vera to use for problem skin is the sap straight from the plant itself, you just break off the leaf and squeeze out the juice then apply.

A note of caution with that, I have burned my collar bone area very badly using straight aloe plant, make sure none of that yellow sap gets into the clear aloe gel or it will irritate and burn the skin.. I would recommend trying Nature's Life Aloe Vera gel, can be picked up at health food stores, maybe online too, is very watery and does not leave a film like the gels at the supermarkets, though I like the more filmy stuff, which is better for hydrating dry skin. I like St. Ives cucumber gel, also one to try as a serum is derma-e's vitamin C serum, though it's more filmy than the more astringent Nature's Life. Smile
