My skin is extremely dry, so I have to use a lot of moisturizer. However, it's also prone to breaking out in milia, so I can't use really heavy creams. What's the best moisturizer that won't cause milia? And what's a good skin-care regimen to help get rid of them?

Thanks in advance!

I am VERY milia prone and I have had great results with estee lauder daywear plus. It says it does all sorts of stuff but all I know is that it works and I can use it as a day and night cream (my skin hates change). I have also been able to use cetephil with good results but it dosent do much besides moisturize and then you need to still find a sunscreen that dosent cause milia (which I havent been able to do).

Oh...active moist from dermalogica worked for me too but I needed more hydration and switched to smoothing cream which over time caused milia...this condition is SOOO annoying!

Good luck!

I was going to suggest the Hydrating Booster from Dermalogica, and then a lighter cream/lotion on top.

Thanks for your responses!

Does the Estee Lauder Daywear have sunscreen in it?

I've been using the Mary Kay Timewise line. The moisturizer feels great on my skin, but it does seem to cause milia. I'm seeing a severe lack of Mary Kay popularity on this board, but what do you all think of using the Timewise Day Solution with SPF 15 (it's recently been reformulated to SPF 25), then a different moisturizer?

I'm definitely a low-fuss girl when it comes to makeup. I usually just wear sunscreen, moisturizer, and mascara, but I am religious about sunscreen!

I'll check out the Cetaphil line, too. Thanks again for your suggestions!

Yes...day wear (Estee Lauder) does have sunscreen. They also make a daywear formula that turns into a sheer tint...I've been meaning to try that one. I used Mary Kay for about 6 months and did not experience any milia problems...the timewise did make my skin very oily. There is a cetephil moisturizer with and without spf. If you use the one with spf keep it away from your eyes. I had a terrible reaction once....I use my moisturizer as my eyecream too.
