I'm interested in adding an AHA treatment product to my regimen. Can you guys tell me your recommendations and experiences. Thanks. Janet |

I use SkinCeuticals Intense Line Defense Serum with 12% AHA at night. It is supposed to exfoliate skin and help with fine lines and wrinkles. I was using SkinCeuticals C + AHA Serum (15% C, 10% AHA), but decided to separate the 2 ingredients and do a Vit. C in the morning and the AHA at night.
I also use SkinCeuticals Simply Clean Cleanser with AHA and SkinCeuticals Equalizing Toner with AHA, but these 2 products don't state the percentage of AHA in them.
I have been very happy with this skincare line, as I have oily skin with mild breakouts and my skin has to be regularly exfoliated to keep the breakouts down to a minimum. |

I use the Age Limit Advanced Refinishing serum from Cellular Skin Rx. It is a 10% lactic/glycolic acid mix that is formulated for sensitive skin. It doesn't sting when you put it on. The site (www.cellularskinrx.com) says that it delivers the acid over a short time period to avoid the "spike" when the acid enters your skin that causes that burning feeling. I like it for smoothing and evening out my skintone. I alternate it with Retin-A each night. |

I like AHA products and think they've been a major factor in removing my fine lines.
I agree for starting and for delicate Cellular Skin Rx is good. I also love the DDF 12.5% lotion it has great ingredients and is inexpensive.
I also have lactic acid and glycolic acid from the Personal Formulator which I use for peels. |

I make my own now. I use DDF 12.5% on some parts of my face but for a real peel I mix Glycolic acid, lactic acid and citric acid with water and PH adjustment (TEA and ethanol). I also add green tea extract and sometimes arginine.
I usually use about 35% glycolic (but you need to build up to this) and a pH of 2.5. I bought the ingredients from The Personal Formulator.
Peel and heal works for me I do not use this high strength all over my face. Over about a year and a half I have nearly totally removed all fine lines. I only have a small bit of a line on the left side of my mouth. |
