Hi
If anyone can help me I would like to know what I should use to lighten the dark skin around my neck. It is way darker than my face and upper torso so I always look weird with v-neck shirts and such. Any Advice!!!!11 |

I would look into some products that contain "lightening ingredients" such as kojic acid, licorice, azaleic acid. A few that come to mind are:
Lightening Gel by Pevonia
Immaculate Correction by Dermadoctor
Kojicol or Kojicol Plus by Sesderma
Phyto Correction Gel(I think that's the name) by Skinceuticals
There are a host of others! A good AHA product will help exfoliate your skin to reveal fresher skin as well!
PM me if you'd like a new/unused sample of Kojicol.

KOJICOL from sesderma does wonders for me. My pigmentation problem is not that severe so i cant say how it would be for very severe cases.
I have read on another foum that some people have good results with chemical peels, or microdermabrasion (spelling?)
Has anyone used any of the other products?
Sesderma does seem to have a pretty extensive line of products recomending diffrent things for have diffrent severities "gentile" all the way to "very strong". |

Be careful with certain acids in peels as darker skin can have a tendency to become more pigmented after a peel. The skin of women of color have needs of it's own and you should consult someone with more knowledge. |

If you're using any lightening ingredients, don't forget the most important thing- sunscreen. |

I agreed with bluesheart. My friend has dark skin tone and she told me that actually her skin scar very easily. I highly recommend you to talk to someone knowledgeable, try calling EDS to see if they have any suggestions. |
