I recieved a Mineral Powder sample, on the seal it said Cory Cosmetics, I have never heard of this brand before.
After not having much luck with the BE I was not expecting much from this, I applied with the Jane Iredale Handi Brush and a little at a time, building up the coverage.
I finnished with a spritz to set.
WOW I loved this! Now I can see what all the fuss is about mineral bases, it just looked so natural, very close up in natural light I could see the powder on my skin but observing from a normal distance my skin looked lovely and it even covered to quite prominant acne marks.
My skin felt a little dry during the day, I think this stuff must just soak up any moisture that was on my skin.
I am pleased and now look forward to trying some more mineral bases Very Happy

Yes I was pleased I did not get that ridiculous shiney finnish that BE left me with, thatnk's for the link I am going to navigate the site now lol

I friend is sending me Physicians Formula Loose Mineral powder over, so I am looking forward to trying that one Very Happy
I will post up my findings Wink

I also read somewhere that in July MAC is bringing out a Mineral collection, something to keep my eyes peeled for this summer!

I think the hardest part is matching up your shade, I much prefer playing around at the counter than having to guess at shade samples.

I agree, but most of the mineral places sell their samples for soo cheap. I find usually I'll order 3 samples and 2 will work and the other is way out there. As long as you know what undertones you have and whether you're light medium dark it's not too difficult.

MAC Mineral line? Dang..that'll be expensive and no doubt filled with lots of junk filler.

I prefer Pure Luxe to Cory Cosmetics at least as far as the base foundation is concerned.

I do love many of Cory Cosmetics blush and eye shadows and bronzers though. Her samples are super cheap and last a long time.

Pure Luxe blushes are fabulous! I ordered one full sized, Babydoll it's called. Also, Vanity is very pretty. Christine at Pure Luxe has a knack. Cory's blushes didn't do anything for me, I don't know why, everyone else has good luck. Her foundation shades were off for me too. Pure Luxe makes a foundation shade, Maize, that is literally an olive colour, I love it but it's too dark so I've ordered some lighter samples to see which one I could mix.

Alpha has some great shades too but it didn't matter how little I used of even the lighter coverage formula it looked really masky and caked on.

I wonder if the MAC version will have bismuth? I hope not because their foundation shades are so natural I would love to try it.

I have been using cory for over a year now and it seems to be the only mineral makeup that doesn't break me out. it has only two ingredients and no mica.
definitely good stuff especially if ur supersensitive like me.

Let's me say which MMU I've used.
1st Time) Cory
2nd Time) BE
3rd Time) JI

I've spent quite a lot money on MMU, because that MMU no need to use cleansing oil to wash off. I'll breakout once I use cleansing oil even Burt's Bees Orange Essence Cleanser.

Cory did have the best coverage in the 3 brands. Cheapest. Matte look. 1 Box can use for a whole year. Easy to apply if you know the applying tips (Less). I love this brand too, but my skin will turning dehydrate after noon time. I guess I have to do more hydration mask.

BE's coverage is soso. But the texture is quite fine. If you like makeup look, you have to put on more layer. Little shiny look. Cheaper than JI but more expensive than Cory.

JI's coveage is just soso too. Expecailly for pore covering, its just soso. The most expensive one that I've used. Absence Oil Control is useless. Press powder is too dry. Liquid mineral is good, very moisture. Only need to apply a very thin layer. But it also can't cover your pores. You have to put on a very thick layer for covering the pores. Then, my look like drama actress. I don't like it.

To conclude, I like Cory foundation the most. I love its Spotlight Matte Finishers which have a very fine texture. Then is Ji liquid mineral. And the last is BE mineral foundation.

I most hate JI press powder and BE mineral veil. Too dry for me.

I'm now thinking of trying Amazing Cosmetics (recently provide in EDS). I've read from a website talking safty cosmetics and skincares. The rating of Amazing is good. See the link below.
