Hi!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I am doing anything wrong in terms of my skin care and sun protection.

I prefer natural products, but am using LRP for sun protection, as I have heard that this is the best.

My skin has improved dramatically since recently switching to DR H. I have some small red post acne marks, which I hope to get rid of some how... I don't think I do well with salicylic acid and other harsh acne products, I think they make my skin break out, and also quite sensitive. I am 21, with fair skin. Can by dehydrated at times, but also a little bit sensitive. I use DR H masks, clay, rejuvinating and firming. Love them all. I have ordered PSF vitamin C 20% serum. Should be here in a few days.

Morning.

1. Dr H CC
2. Dr Clarifying Toner
3. MyChelle heavy water spray
4. Dr H Normalizing Oil (LOVE THIS!!)
5. LRP Anthelios Fluide Extreme SPF 40
6. Dr H bronze concentrate
7. Burt's Bee's concealer

Sometimes I use a tiny amount of DR H Quince cream also. Only if I feel I need it though.

Night.

1. MV Organics cleansing cream (Like DR H Cleansing Milk)
2. Dr H CC
2. Dr H Clarifying Toner
3. Jurlique Herbal Recovery Mist
4. Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel
5. Eye cream. Usually rosehip oil or JUICE eye gel or Jurlique wrinkle softener.
6. Sometimes I will put Rosehip oil on face in areas which I feel need some extra hydration.

I was thinking of adding Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum for acne scars and for an extra boost.

Thanks in advance for all you help! I love this forum!

Lucinda, it looks like you are using a great list of products. Since you've seen a lot of improvement in your skin I wouldn't change anything. My only concern is that if you have sensitive skin, the 20% c serum may be too strong if you've never used this before. They say to start out with the lower percentage first and work your way up to the higher one.

BTW- I've heard that both the Dr. H CC and rosehip oil are great for healing acne scars. Very Happy HTH

Well I'm not sure if I have sensitive skin...
I don't think I have sensitive skin anymore, since switching to natural products... Does that make sense?

Whenever I have facials they say I have normal skin. But, I'm almost always told I am dehydrated and sometimes I will brake out... Although not since using Dr H. I also think that my skin reacts very badly to bad food choices, such as dairy, wheat, processed foods etc. So I have eliminated them.

I was thinking that the 20% might be a bit strong, but I thought I might be able to dilute it some how if it was...? Or I could just use it on my neck and chest area etc... If it were too weak, then there would have been nothing I could really do about it! I have already ordered it, and it should be arriving shortly... So I guess it is a bit late now anyway..?!

Thanks so much for your reply!

Lucinda - that looks great and IMO the vit C serum completes the picture. If you haven't used a C serum before then try diluting it a little bit the first few times you use it. The PSF serum is nice though and not one of the low pH ones that are more likely to irritate the skin.

Mabsy- Thanks for your reply! I was hoping you would see my thread. Very Happy I decided on the PSF serum after reading the reviews on this site. Can't wait for it to arrive!

I wondered if the Dr H Normalizing oil would effect my LRP... But I guess not...?

Well, I am not a sunblock expert but I think you should be fine. As with anything, wait for the oil to absorb a bit and then go ahead with the sunblock.

you can use the Normalizing Oil underneath the Fluide Extreme with no problem, but as Mabsy says, do wait for it to 'dry.' the thing you have to be careful about is what you put OVER the LRP FE sunscreen. most people use this when they're going without makeup. it seems certain MU products can degrade the integrity of this sunscreen. to be perfectly honest, i haven't found the list of exact ingredients so i don't know whether the Bronze Concentrate would effect it or not.... until i figure this out, i've been using Avene which is slightly less effective but at least i know i can safely put MU over it. you might want to try searching the boards (as did i, one is a huge long thread with BadBird), but prepare for your eyes to go and i'm not sure whether the answer is there or not... perhaps someone who understands can actually explain this???

Maybe I will try Avene when my LRP runs out. I'm not sure of the ingredients in the DR H Bronze Concentrate either, as I threw out the box... From what I gathered from sorting through old posts, natural MU with minerals etc degrade LRP. How annoying! My Burt's Bee's concealer says "may contain titanium dioxide"... May? or DOES? how silly!! So basically this might also be a problem...
I have also head that LRP contains titanium dioxide as well... It's all so confusing...

Thanks for your replies everyone! I really appreciate it.
