I have been using for 2 years DermaDoctor's Body Guard Oil-Free SPF 30 Sunblock (for face and body) and have been very happy with it, but was wondering if anyone knows of an Oil-Free Sunblock with a higher SPF rating than 30? Thanks!

Try Neutrogena's Dry Touch. I think it comes in SPF 45.

Clinique just came out with an SPF 40. I'm testing this now and so far so good. Have you looked into Vichy or LRP? These are European s/s with typically Meroxyl or Tinsorb as their active ingredient. Good luck!

Thanks for the recommendations I am going to look into those.

I did a little research myself and found something called Elta Gold UV Shield SPF 45 Daily Protection (oil-free), has anyone tried this one?

I just bought Neutrogena's Dry Touch in SPF 55 a week and a half ago. I returned it yesterday because it was so greasy and resulted in a pizza like chin! Sad

Thanks for the info. I am definitely looking for oil-free, as I have oily skin with breakouts. Smile

Shiseido sunblocks. All of them, cream and lotion. Can be had in SPF 45 and are silky smooth, not greasy at all. They even make a mattifying sunscreen veil. This has a lower SPF but can be mixed with the lotion with wonderful results. Also, mostly zinc oxide so they're non irritating for most skins (and mine is sensitive).

Shiseido Anessa Mild sunscreen (face) SPF 43 is so far the best per my experience.

I just purchased the Shiseido sunblock with SPF UVB 50 a few weeks back after reading about it on this forum. It is awesome! Smooths on so light and feels great. Make up goes on no problem. It comes highly recommended on makeupalley.com.as well.

Do any of you that use Shisheido find that it dries your skin out? That's the main complaint I've seen at MUA and therefore the reason I've stayed away from it. Is it difficult to remove?

I can't speak for others but so far I haven't had any extras dryness from the sunblock. I also use it on my hands because they have become somewhat blotchy and freckled. Crying or Very sad I find it very smooth and smells quite nice, that is one of the reasons I dislike most sunblocks....greasy and stinky! The lady at the Shiseido counter recommended cleansing twice after use because it is highly water resistant. I am able to use one of those all in one makeup remover cloths all over my face and then my usual cleanser. So far no problems!

La Roche Posay's Dermo-Pediatrics spf 40 spray is very nice. I spray it into my hand then apply to my face. Dries to a matte finish and provides superb protection. It's stable and has good UVA protection, too.

Is it as expensive as the LRP Anthelios 60? Sounds interesting...
