Well, he's finally arrived after being 12 days overdue!  Our baby boy Carter came into this world April 12 at 12:16 am. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces, 20 1/2 inches long....he is absolutely beautiful, he has lots of hair and is nursing like a pro already! I'm still recovering, but everyday gets better! I'm not too sure how to post a pic, if I find out how I will post one later! |

Congratulations! Wow he is just adorable!
I hope you'll nurse him for as long as possible; he deserves that special food made just for him! My own boys were exclusively breastfed til they were about one, when I finally introduced solid foods to them. When I returned to work I continued to pump (why TH else would I be called pumpingmummy?!  ) so they could continue receiving all the goodness of breastmilk. A supportive forum I tended to depend on while nursing (believe me SO many women out there are ignorant and therefore unsupportive of breastfeeding (inclusding my own mother  ), and if anything would BF about two weeks at most  ) was breastfeeding.com.
Motherhood changes you, and transforms your life, but you'll enjoy it and won't want to trade it for anything in the world. Take care! |
