This was just fun to read because I realized I was going a little nuts when I counted how many different moisturizers/serums I use before I go to bed at night:
1 facial serum, 1 under-eye cream, 2 types of oils mixed together for my face, neck cream (I'm try to use something up, thus a separate cream), foot balm stick, 1 lip balm, and then layers of 2 different hand creams (one balm, and one yummy smelling lotion) = 9 moisturizers for bedtime!! I feel like I might be taking high maintenance to a new level!
I really have the hardest time not buying new lotions or lip balms -- either there's a sale, or an alluring description, or the promise of perfection -- I'm such a sucker for it! But at least I've started taking out my compulsions in "safer ways." By which I mean "cheaper." I've been having fun on Essential Wholesale, where I can buy samples to my heart's content and only spend a couple bucks a piece. Barely any harm at all! |

Lip product obsessives, unite! Lipsticks, glosses, plumpers...I've got them. I was so happy when I found a video that shows you how to make a lipstick organizer for your vanity drawer (or to put into a box). It uses old cereal (or whatever) boxes to make cubbies. If anyone wants the link, let me know!
Also, I seem to collect foundations, and I love skin care. Which is bad, because now I thinking about cps, so that is more to add to the collection. Heh. |

KB - I found the sample page at Essential Wholesale. You are an enabler! This forum is so dangerous.
The great thing about "collecting" is that you'll be going through a purse or a pocket, find a lippie or cream or whatever, and think, "I totally forgot I had this." It's like shopping without shopping. |

OMG, I am too on the freaking skin care crap. I have it everywhere. I will try something for like six weeks, read about something better on this forum, buy it and try it.
For years I have been battling my acne and scars. Now, after going to a dermatologist, I am acne free! So my next obsession is my scars. See my thread on them.
I realized how bad I was and how much money I spend on freaking skin care crap when I was packing all my belongings. I have an entire shelf of just old stuff that I don't use. I was throwing it away, giving it to my roommate, and I brought the rest of the good stuff that I no longer use to work to give to people. They freaking were treating it like Christmas. The girls were all fighting over who gets what. Swapping, negotiating favors if one person gives them what is in their hand. One of the boyfriends that works with his girlfriend was fighting for her to get this "smelly stuff" or "don't get that smelly stuff." It was crazy! |

I actually have to much of everything that I am trying to actually stop shopping... high hopeslol
I have so much skincare Im actually lucky that I am very generous with my useage or it would probably go off before I get a change to use it.
Body products again plenty.
Haircare I just purchased a whole lot of different things for my hair as I am trying to get it back to a really healthy state so I cut off several inches and now I am left with mainly virgin hair minus a semi rinse I put in for my sisters engagement.
Makeup dont actually use alot but have heaps of lip gloss I pretty much will only use Mirenesse makeup/gloss as its good for the skin and very hydrating.
Basically alot of thousands worth of products sitting in my ensuite/ bathroom cupboards and everything is packed to the rafters. |

I've got plenty of everything--and then some--but the items I treasure most are my wonderful makeup brushes and my fragrances. I also love my eyeshadow palettes. |

Well, I'm totally impressed. I wish I had some local gal pals like you. Oh, the fun of it. My actual girlfriends are so natural and not makeup people (well not much - they probably have a mere shoebox full of everything) - they'd hoot to know I'm on here. (My closet fetish). |

I'm like this too! I have an obsession with eyeshadows and I'm always thinking I need more and more of them to make the perfect eye look. But I always go back to the same colors.
I also have a thing for blushes because I think a great cheek color is an instant lift to the face.
I love trying new skin care products - especially treatment type products like masks, etc. I was tempted to try La Mer but after all the things people said about it on this site, I decided to save my $. |
